Under 30 there’s a decent chance they’re getting support from their parents. I know plenty of people that their parents pay for small smaller bills like phone or insurance all the way up to having their whole car, apartment, and an allowance. Outside of that there’s inheritance money. Trust funds. Lawsuit money. Lottery. Etc, etc. In general almost no one will tell you how much financial support they’re getting because most want to feel like they’re smart and successful not spoiled. And of course don’t forget the average person is in massive amounts of debt. If you’re foolish enough, you can live very well off debt for several years before it all comes crashing down.
As a teen my first job was at $3.35 an hour. I would wonder how the adults in the store took care of their families making that while working full time.
