Hey Ike! Love your channel & am a daily viewer, weather old vids or new ones. I live right around the corner from u and fish palatine lake all the time! My question for u is if you had to choose between 5 baits to use in our area here in the grove, in the summer time, which 5 baits would u pack and when & where would u use them? I have my pick of the top 5 i’d use here during the summer and would LOVE to see which baits/lures you CANNOT leave the house without! Id love to do a comparison video which you go out and use ur top 5 baits, vs my top 5 and see who can catch the bigger fish on the same body of water (im sure u’d win😂) and compare & contrast why we chose which bait, at which times, and what cover/structure we throw certan lures at. Ill also do a follow up video if i see youve replied. Love the channel & keep on reelin on!
2 of my favorites! But I got them backwards. I thought the popper was better on clear water. And the walking bait better for windy conditions. Thanks Mike for teaching me something new.
The plopper caused me to fall in absolute love with top water bass fishing, however the popper eludes me lol i can walk a spook but never had any luch on it...those ploppers are deadly though!
Mike you are my favorite fisherman. Love your show on tv! Man I'd love to go out with you for a day! You hitting tournaments this year? Good luck love your enthusiasm!
As one of the Folks at home who is also a keen Co-Angler in tournaments I am wondering if you could do a video with a break down of some basics for Co-Anglers on what are some go to baits no matter where you are etc. Tight lines, from the folks at home
Is you want to pop then I would suggest throwing a popper. If you’re in the mood to walk a bait then throw a walking bait. I have won 13 Bassmaster Classics and entered the Fishing Hall of Fame 63 times so I would take my advice.
Hello Mike I love fishing top water poppers and walking baits at my local fishing pier 👍🎣

The popper has been working amazing the past few days just by casting into those open pockets inside the moss.

What knot? loop knot, tie direct to a split ring or clip. or tie direct to the bait?
