- If you're getting shoulder pain doing dips then save yourself from injury and discomfort by stopping doing tricep dips in front of the bench. Instead try them with two benches or boxes as seen in video. This is the proper technique for tricep dips helping you reduce elbow pain and shoulder stress allowing for maximum triceps growth.

If you bend , will it not impact on chest rather than triceps ?
Yes but still hit the triceps a good amount and worth it (in my opinion) for less stress on shoulder joint.

Felt too much shoulder comes into play in this method.
If you want to isolate the triceps I recommend other exercises: DB Skull Crusher / Cable Pushdown / Overhead Dumbbell or Cable Extension. Although called Tricep dips, ‘Dips’ are really more of a compound movement incorporating Chest, Shoulders and Triceps.
Then it becomes the parallel bar dips
I iust dont do dips. Some experts say keep your shoulders back and your back straight. Thus guy says keep chest forward. Easier just to skip this exercise.

Bent shortens pivot lever so is easier and as you get straighter work towards straight legs 👍🏼
