    This video convinced me to order a pair. I had seen them on Bordon's site but I thought they had a fabric liner because it is so bright. When you talked about it being leather I had to order them.

      In the interest of fairness I'm going to remove my original comment and add this note. Bordon replied to my inquiry about the material used. They say that the tongue is made from local roughout. I remain somewhat skeptical. It will be interesting to see the reaction of others when they receive their boots.

      @@BWM135 Yes I placed my order on 7/26/23 my pair is marked 09 of 70. The Save The Ocean Tukano was only available during that batch as far as I know. I removed part of my original comment. Bordon says that the material is local roughout.

    If you've been out of the loop ORDERS are OPEN once again at Bordon! Like, pop the Dom or something ! 🎉
    Did not realize these StO editions would be run again, though perhaps I should have known based on them still being on the website. It made a mess of my order, as I of course didn't see these were being run again until I had already submitted an order for 2 other pairs. I didn't want to miss out on these, hopefully Andres will let me back out of one of my earlier orders. Otherwise my boot budget for the year just got pretty rekt...
    I think the Wanes and Tukano are already sold out once more. I went with the same config as Dale (Wanes w/ woodsman heel, just slightly larger at an EU 46.5 EE, which is also my size in the Truman 79 and will hopefully work well).
    Agree with Dale on the badonkadonk Wanes back stay, just wish it had a pull loop (There, I said it, now to get the Nomex suit GTG LOL.) Double bonus if it has more arch support than a Truman 79, love my Javas and found a good fit, but I fear that if you're after any kind of arch support that particular last will leave you wanting.
    This will be my first pair of Bordons. Pretty stoked. If you've followed the brand be sure to check out all of the options, some new leather choices, several very cool rough-out trench variations, and some very cool new sole choices to go on just about whatever you pick.
    I did reach Andres, and hopefully he'll help get my order squared away. It's evident that he cares a great deal about his business, products, and the people on both ends that make everything go.
    Cheers all!

      Can you follow up on how your Bordon's fit compared to your Truman's (79 last I assume)? I'm looking to order a pair, but have a bigger, high volume foot that's hard to fit (I wear a US 13.5 EE in Truman, which would translate to a EU 46.5 in Bordon).
      Just wondering if your estimate proved to be accurate.

    You are so correct. We are spending billions subscribing EV that over their lifetime are more polluting than a gasoline car. If we could spend that money on useful things like what this company is focusing on we’d all be better off not to mention the planet. Thanks

    • @MH-ej1mq
      @MH-ej1mq 11 месяцев назад +4

      In the short term EV cars might be more polluting than gas powered cars but the technology is still developing. Gas powered cars are a dead end technology. There is way more potential in clean EV technology long-term.

    • @SaltShack
      @SaltShack 11 месяцев назад

      @@MH-ej1mq That simply is not true battery technology is at 90% it’s theoretical maximum potential as are solar panels. The environmental devastation from mining rare earth minerals in the third world is not sustainable. 0% of lithium batteries, solar panels and windmills are recyclable once they’ve reached the end of their usefulness. Not to mention the only way to power EV’s at any meaningful level would require nuclear that we are divesting rather than investing. It’s a lose lose lose right now and not efficient use of capital or resources. But, even if your correct where’s the practical purpose of spending billions on technology that’s not practical or green. We could spend a lot less in research and development of products that may actually perform than we are spending on promoting products based on the lie you have essentially acknowledged. But if we feel better I guess it’s worth it.

      I’ve been collecting stead for a while and yes it may appear to be split but I assure you the integrity of the leather is intact. The appearance has all that wrinkling and character due to the tanning process
