I have to thank you first and foremost Dale, you and everyone else's content stretching back multiple years has made me much more willing to shell out money for new leathers (arguably a negative). I remember when I started wearing anything leather, I was actively avoiding anything with suede and nubuck in it because I did not understand how or who was making them and I only understood they were typically cheaper than full grained smooth leathers and used in boots that were prioritizing costs but did not understand why.
After exposure to your content on trumans, I caught myself hungrily pre-ordering Truman's upland boots in reverse black chamois yesterday for 580 dollars plus shipping, a price that still stings my conscience even now, in an oiled nubuck I would have never gave a second glance to just a few years ago, nor would I order it in an unstructured 8 inch plain toe boot, which I would associate more with a work lace up boot. While the black chamois was not my first choice in my queue (I still lack Horween natural cypress and W&C double stuffed natural), someone much more determined than me made that decision for me and bought the natural cypress available to make the upland boot within the first hour while I was waffling about LMAO.

Haha oh man this is so great to hear!! You made a really good choice getting in on that Black oiled roughout, you won’t be disappointed and you’ll appreciate them in a much different way than smooth grain leather I guarantee it

In the UK the passed tense of get is got. In the US its gotten. To me gotten is the past tense of got. That can't be correct grammar!

      Nothing makes any sense 😂

It can be got in the US too. It's gotten when it's preceded by have. Eg. "I got a new car" is correct grammar. "I gotten a new car" is not, but "I've gotten a new car" would be correct.

@@EssenceofPureFlavor surely that should be “I’ve bought a new car “ I’ve been given a new car”. I’ve gotten a new car seems like bad grammar and an incorrect use words to me. I think that gotten is a word that’s used when the person using it can’t think of the correct word to use.😂

Can you recommend another cobbler in the Baltimore/DC Metro area since your buddy Sonny is gone?

Sunny’s shop is still open, his father runs it and he’s a master! Cobbler& Co in Ellicott city. I also recommend Pablo at Dimar Shoe Repair but he’s in Canada
