Great Video! Came from your reddit stream when you walked around Sendai which was awesome. I also grew up in New Hampshire and want to spend more time in Japan in the future. Love the content so far.
Hey IPRD, thank you so much for the comment, and for watching the stream, too! It's nice to meet a fellow Granite Stater, too haha. I really hope you'll get a chance to come to Japan soon! We'll keep trying our best to produce good stuff for you guys!
@@SendaiMotions I'm looking forward to going back. I went last year as part of a school trip and really want to do a study abroad program in college in a couple of years. I'm beginning to learn Japanese now but I dont think ill get nearly as good. Looking forward to more content from you!
Hey Nishant, you're killing it out there! Haven't seen you since the college days but I've been seeing your posts online through the years. Keep it up man, this is some nice content you've got.
Hey buddy, thanks for watching! I can't tell who you are from your username, but it's nice to have the support of an old UMass friend. We'll keep working harder to make better stuff!
This new place looks amazing!! I can confirm the cold Kesennuma house haha...real cold, but beautiful! If I could switch places from SF right about now I totally would! Keep it up Nishant, I love these videos 🙂
Hey Andy! Yeah, the house that you guys visited in Kesennuma, was probably the coldest one that I ever lived in 😂 Thanks so much, man. We'll keep trying to put up cool stuff! 👍
I love the way you do your videos but, one thing I would say is look directly into the camera pinhole. You'll connect much better with the audience. I learned this in my photography classes.
yo! Saw your stream on reddit. Been to Japan only once but damn do i miss it. Just walking around at night was so much fun and the food is incomparably good. Looking forward to your videos and streams (maybe you should upload them btw if you can).
communa STUDIOS thank you! one suggestion: I liked the music, but it was a little loud relative to your voice and got a tad annoying at times. Lower it juuuuuust a little, and it’s a perfect video!
Now I feel like we Europeans have so many misconceptions about Japan. I couldn't really tell why but in a way this house surprised me. If you don't have ideas, I think showing those kind of odd things we don't really expect because of those misconceptions is genuinely engrossing. Tl;Dr : please continue what you're doing (if you can and want to obviously), it's great.
Hey Killian, thank you for watching! I'm telling you, I grew up watching anime, and when I first moved to Japan six years ago, I came with a lot of misconceptions, too. We'll keep trying to feature the little corners of Japan that don't get so much attention!
Hey Bonnie, thank you for the question! It really depends on where you live. In the heavily urbanized areas, I think the rents can be quite inflated, like close to 1000 dollars for a tiny apartment in some parts of Tokyo. Out in the countryside, there is a surplus of vacant housing, so if you know the right people, you can get a good place for cheap!
Hey Jon, thanks for watching, and thank you for the comment! Great question. I didn't really show it well in the video, bit there's a shower area next to the tub. In Japan, typically people wash themselves off in the shower area and then get into the bathtub to warm up and relax. So the bathtub and shower are always separate.

@@blakedunkle3104 Thank you for the great feedback! Noted! Will do that for the next one!
Loved you videos on both platforms. What camera did you use to stream on reddit? And how much did you pay for the house?
Hi Atul, thanks for the comment! I shoot the streams on a Pixel 3! I'm renting the house, so I didn't buy it haha. Rent is about 600 USD per month!
Beautiful place and well lighted. Cool dining table but I wonder how you heat up the heater as I do not see any electrical cord :-)
Thank you for watching! There's a cord that's disconnected right now, in the winter, I'll connect it and plug it in!

How much is it
How are the rents in comparison to the US?
Hey Bonnie, thank you for the question! It really depends on where you live. In the heavily urbanized areas, I think the rents can be quite inflated, like close to 1000 dollars for a tiny apartment in some parts of Tokyo.
Out in the countryside, there is a surplus of vacant housing, so if you know the right people, you can get a good place for cheap!
Can you only take a bath in that tub? How do you take a shower?
Hey Jon, thanks for watching, and thank you for the comment! Great question. I didn't really show it well in the video, bit there's a shower area next to the tub. In Japan, typically people wash themselves off in the shower area and then get into the bathtub to warm up and relax. So the bathtub and shower are always separate.
