I think that to myself with every video, people really be going through life eating some terrible food thinking it's the best thing ever.🥴 Now if you want a good Mac and cheese, OneStopChop or Cooking With Freddie are my go-to recipes.
I didn't see her add any butter to the mixture. She didn't spray her casserole dish either. Didn't add enough milk to make it more creamy. Didn't even cook the noodles. And it looked very dry.
You betcha to both. My take is that is some pretty expensive Mac and cheese if you're subbing boursin for cheese sauce. If you're gonna do that use a Gouda instead of bagged cheddar. Or not. Cut costs by taking a jarred Alfredo and using a few different cheeses in the sauce. Pour it over cooked noodles and bake it.
You should try this in a slow cooker it comes out creamier and much more moist and the noodles are literally cooked through and soft not hard like now when you mix it in the beginning it didn't look appealing but as you mix it well it started to look good try it in the slow cooker you'll be thrilled
What a neat little recipe. Never seen one for mac n cheese that just leaves the noodles raw like this one. How thoughtful to take the creamy goodness of mac n cheese and replace it with a nice tooth breaking crunch!
As a chef, I cannot condone this behavior. This is culinary heresy. Make your Mac and cheese like a normal person. We make the cheese sauce. While we're doing that, we make the noodles. And then for the coup de grace, we mix the two in a glorious fashion, adding whatever else we want in the process. Hot sauce, maybe bacon... maybe some fried sausages or something. Done deal.
Fuck yeah! This was the laziest Mac I've ever seen. I'm sure Boursin added some decent flavor, but she could've made a proper bechamel with the Boursin in it plus some hot sauce and Dijon mustard to bring it to life. It takes 15 minutes to make it right. She should try it.

I’m impressed at how this generation has figured out how to literally dump everything they make into a pan, bake, and voila! Some don’t even take the time to cut up the vegetables themselves they just throw frozen vegetables in and frozen meat too! Their families, husbands, and their followers on social media seem to love it. At least these women are in the kitchen trying to prepare delicious meals for their families that appear to be easy and convenient. A lot of working parents out there with little time and these meals are better than fast foods anyway! I love Justin's recipes. They're quick, easy and delicious! If you've watched her videos before, you would know that she loves garlic, and she puts it in many of her dishes. If you don't like it, do what I do, leave it out. The recipe is still delicious without it.👍 Thanks Justin for sharing your recipes with us!
Yes you can do a roux based cheese sauce or a cream and melted cheese mix thickened with some of the starchy pasta water. Both ways use a lot less cheese and salt than this method but deliver big on texture and flavour. Each to their own I guess.
Technically all roux based sauces/gravies are from French cooking! Everyone else just borrowed, and adapted to their local cuisine. A lot of French people settled in the Southeast United States, hence why we have sauces, and gravy for virtually everything(and let’s not forget about those Cajun’s). Lol
I like the recipe but I for myself would try to add a little bit of water around the edge of the pan. Just to try it out. Looking for little more moisture.

IMO, I'm sure this would be a very tasty mac and cheese. Especially with the garlic/herb boursin. Finished, the elbows looked undercooked and the cheese sauce looked really dry. Adding some water might have made a creamier sauce. Starting with dry pasta can be tricky sometimes. Also, I would have cut the boursin in pieces first, just to distribute it better and making stirring it a bit easier.
It looks really good. I love Boursin. I would have to skip one pack of shredded cheese and substitute a lighter liquid for the heavy whipping cream and add broccoli, just to keep my cardiologist happy.😂
