Mjdemon Why does everyone think Bane was in love with Talia? He wasn't. He loved her the same way Alfred loved Bruce. He was her friend; they shared the fact that they were unjustly put into the Pit and Bane protected her from the other prisoners who actually deserved to be in there. That was part of the reason Ra's al Ghul excommunicated him from the League of Shadows. He had lost his wife and child to the Pit, and when he'd finally gotten Talia back, she'd already had a father: Bane.
Bane and Talia's relationship parallels with Alfred's line in this trailer that I wish had made it into the final cut of the film: "You are as precious to me as you were to your own mother and father. I swore to them that I would protect you."
This movie was corny from the get-go. Fuckin Bane was a hobbit...lol. Ah short hobbit..lol. Bane is suppose to be over 6' feet. This one never pass 5' feet look like..lol. The only big thing on this Bane is his corny voice box. Lmao...they should redo this movie.

the joker was the best villain, he didn¨t die and he achieved his goal by turning Dent into a villain and creting anarchy in the city. the joker won and he accomplished all his goals. Bane is not a psycopath as the joker, so to me the joker will be the best villain of the trilogy.

Man I can give a full dissertation why this is better than the sequel. People say sequel because of one word: Joker. Rises is bigger than the hero and the villain, is bigger than genre. It's more so a character study and social commentary mixed with action. Based on the book A Tale of Two City's. It's poetic, it's poignant, powerful, and peerless. The theme is in the title: Rising. Rising from ashes, the passing of torches, rising higher to freedom. Nolan gave Batman a merciful end to the madness whereas most writers of Batman want him to live in endless suffering for the sake of endless stories. It's the best film of the trilogy and I can go deeper than that.

The Dark Knight Rises DOES NOT rank anywhere near the top 50 (rightfully so) on best movies of all time. The Dark Knight is still one of the best of all time. And TDK and TDKR are some of the best superhero films of all time. But they're not the best

Its going to seem kind of weird that superman is going to meet the batman since the dark knight trilogy is over and this batman has no connection to the dark knight trilogy nor the characters from those movies so to me idk how that would be like I mean that's just my opinion. This is a sequel to man of steel right? Not 2 franchises colliding because 1 franchise will not have the same characters and gothem will be a different story.
Wulf I agree, I think Bale is the best actor of his generation(even over Leo) but he wasn't the best Batman. Michael Keaton was. All of Nolans 3 films were better than any other batman movie even the 1989 one, and Bale put in 3 solid performances, but he didn't have that spark, I think his acting was surprisingly wooden and more cheesy than anything, not just his Batman voice but also his fake American Bruce Wayne voice. The performances weren't great, but then again, its not like you could get an oscar for playing batman so it wasn't really the kind of role to have a great performance.

Back in 2012 I wasn't a Batman fan, but when I saw this trailer on the cinema, I really felt like I needed to watch the film. And today, the Nolan's trilogy is one of my favorites franchises.
And now the new one has potential to be even better than this

+Smarties Was DKR good, oh yes very good provided you are emotionally invested in the character of Bruce Wayne, not batman Bruce Wayne. TDKR is first and foremost about Bruce Wayne his journey and ultimately the end of his journey.
It has great character development from Alfred, Cat woman, newcomer John Blake and to an extent Gordon. Other members still get plenty to do and the film much like it's predecessor gives a villain for the ages in the form of Bane. The action is good in some areas and lacking in other much like the first two.
I personally find the third one to be the best, best character arc for Bruce, best and most emotional role for Alfred, most involved role for Fox, John Blake is as developed as Harvey dent, Selina is far more developed than Rachel. The only character who isn't as good or better is Gordon who clearly got his best material in TDK.
The villains I personally preferred Bane, liked his backstory his whole plan and how he used hope, loved the revolutionary part of him and the similarities and parallels between him and Bruce also Batman. Saying which one is better is very difficult as they are both great Bane has more character and we certainly learn more about him but the joker probably stuck out more, and had a great dynamic with Batman, choose whichever.
The story has a few things unexplained but so did TDK, it's just as emotional, has just as much depth, really it all comes down to how much you liked joker and if you can accept continuing without him.
I can, because the story was never about him it was the story of Bruce Wayne and ironically Joker took away from that, which is the one flaw I have with TDK it focuses on Joker too much, it relies on him too much, there's a reason the only thing people ever mention in TDK is joker despite the fact that there is so much more, the joker just takes the focus away from everything else.
This doesn't happen with Bane, nothing takes the focus from Bruce Wayne or the other character arcs, this is the main reason why I feel TDKR will always be better than the TDK.
This trilogy far surpasses all the other movies in the batman franchise because Batman truly stands for something more. He is not just a symbol to fight for justice. He shows that anyone can be a hero and anyone can stand for what's right even when everyone goes against them - anyone can be behind the cape and cowl.
but not everyone has combat skill like him.....

it is not about money and combat skills guys, most outstanding ability that Batman has and makes him a superhero is his intelligence and iron will. Control of emotions, hypercritical thinking and handle of the fear. During the justice League he outsmarts and defeats other superheros without even having hand to hand combat (and he doesnt have super powers)

This trailer is still incredible. This is still the best superhero trilogy ever.
The Dark Knight trilogy is not a DC movie. By DC standards, it is too good to be DC, just look at BvS it was terrible. Green Lantern was terrible. Man of Steel was meh. This trilogy is one of the greatest trilogies ever made.
Those 3 movies aren't even all that bad TBH. I just watched the BvS ultimate edition, Green Lantern and Man of God yesterday. They aren't as bad as everybody says they are.

The reason it's so successful is because Christopher Nolan has the chops for making amazing movies on the human condition and its many struggles for greed, power, ambition and redemption. The Prestige, Inception, The Dark Knight trilogy, and Interstellar (which I have not seen but I've heard nothing but great things about) aren't just movies but experiences. Just as Gravity Falls aired on Disney (but was nothing like any Disney series ever), Nolan's Batman trilogy was filmed under the DC logo but was nothing like a DC film.
DC has great villains and heroes but blockbuster films along the lines of Marvel are just not the best media.

When I first saw this trailer and the person that sat next to me in the theater as my eyes lit up, besides this she was the only thing that could ever have that same effect on me. I'll never forget those words she said to me, "We should go see this the night it comes out." 7 months later If I only knew then what I know now and how everything would be changed in my life forever, how this movie related to all of that happening. I would have my own epic conclusion to the story of my life. It was the like the only reason we even went to the movies that night and how it symbolized everything. I can never understand why some people don't like this movie or think that it is the weakest of the trilogy. It's just as good as the others, it's amazing!

The Joker’s theme lingering in the background is so chilling. During this movie I like to imagine Ledger’s Joker propped up in a tight Arkham cell looking smugly at the news on some guard’s TV outside, saying “mhm, mhm....”

Bale was not good, but not terrible. throat cancer, stiff movements, crap fight scenes, literally nothing like batman. Ben Affleck proved the haters wrong.

Baffleck is a chemical formula for the best batman ever , you get a badass scary version of batman not only for villains but for everyone and that's where Nolan failed , you get the best version of Bruce Wayne as an individual with morals and a detective not just some drunk playboy man , you get the most accurate batman suit and weapons or machinery , you get the best fight scenes and brutality for a batman kind off like in Arkham's asylum video game and you get the best transition of batman loosing his morality and begin to question whether he is a hero or a vigilante and if massive killing or destruction can be avoided by minor killing.

because the reason why the Joker wasn't even mentioned at all was because Nolan didn't want to disrespect heath ledger. Showing him or possibly replacing him with someone else would be even more disrespectul to Heath and the fans

Can't believe I've came back to watch this trailer again. I love the trilogy and this film is my favourite out of the 3,but all 3 movies are as good as each other,there is no better one all 3 are 10/10.
I was one of those persons who only liked MCU movies and didnt care about DC and i had heard ppl say that Batman movies were too good but i still was like brainwashed to mcu and never payed attention to dc
Now that i saw the dark knight and rises i honestly am saying that endgame is trash before these 2(infinity war is a good comparison indeed..it was great)
But man...the music in this movies and he preasure they put not like mcu when they lose a battle...they retreat and attack againg...batman movies are like Mad Max...action taking over

I was brainwashed about MCU too. Though I won't say 'endgame is trash', yet the Dark Knight trilogy beats 3/4 of Marvel Universe. The Dark Knight should have been a separate universe like the new DC and Marvel. They should have at least got 7 films. Could have beaten Harry Potter.

I've always preferred Rises because of its level of intensity and soundtrack. I also prefer Bane over Joker, I thought Ledger was great, just overrated.

Nobody writes about the game of Tom Hardy. He was great as Bane. What did he do with his body??? And Tom's voice is goosebumps .... Tom is great. And Nolan made the right choice by inviting Hardy to this role.👍🔥👏
