    If you think we’ve missed any Rear Lounge vans which have a bed size of 6’3”+ please do let us know in the comments - also we’d love to know your thoughts and comments on our shortlisted vans as we narrow down to our top 3! Thanks as always 🙌

    For the u shaped lounge or 2 sofa debate, our older 2011 Vantage Neo has what they called a Charlie Box in that space. It's easy to remove (2 mins) and can be keft at home. They were designed to open (slide) towards the rear but weve reversed it to open into the lounge. We very much value the U shape, and the 2 sofas look very stark in comparison to our eyes

    Thanks for doing this video, other you tube channels tend to ignore the small British builders such as , S&L, Consort, IH, Devon, Vantage etc, it’s nice to see them, if there are any upgrades etc, fed up with seeing the same old makes and models again and again, thanks again, subscribed.

    If you like the Vantage Sol, take a look at the Consort Reef. We were close to ordering a Sol then we found Consort Motorhomes in Leeds. Superb build quality with a great layout. Our Consort Reef is a brilliant van

      100% agree with you, we got our reef 2 months ago and absolutely love it. Outstanding service from all the consort team. They are having an open weekend from Tuesday so no appointment needed to go and view their vans

    Great video. We were there on day 2. The Hillside Hopton rear lounge really caught our eye. Great build quality and the bonus is it is on either the VW Crafter or MAN TGE 6m platform. Worth a look!

    Excellent video. We recently bought the Warwick xl and we love it. However we needed to be able to exit the van through the rear doors due to the very tight space where the van is parked. Had that not been the case we would have gone for a "U" shaped lounge which also gives much more storage space and it is more easily accessed.

    • @LeisureBit
      @LeisureBit  2 месяца назад

      Thank you - appreciated. The Warwick XL is a lovely van imagine you are pleased with it. The storage place or certainly easier access to it is certainly a plus point, however as you say it's a trade off with access / also losing that space in the living area and for when the weather is great, opening the back doors is magical! Thanks again, all the very best, David & Rachel 👍

    Hi David and Rachel a great video and have really enjoyed your search and the thought you have given
    My choices from those would be the S&L Apollo as I know you can customise them to meet any needs or wants
    The swift carerra as I remembered Rachel waxed lyrical about the one in your video
    The Warwick XL just because of the coziness and space use inside
    Have you looked at consort as the reef is a good looking van and I know Trev and deb like theirs and also the auto trail?
    Looking forward to seeing what way you decide to go
    All the best to you all and Roxy of course Daniel

    • @LeisureBit
      @LeisureBit  2 месяца назад +1

      Thanks Daniel, I was going to see if any changes to the Consort with the new models - they are nice vans but don’t seem to be as customisable as others (eg no microwave). I did spot they can do an option for a longer bed though so will be checking it out. Thanks for flagging. My height seems to be the biggest issue where I really like vans, but it’s simply not practical for sleeping comfortably.
      I had a look around some of the auto trails at the show but bed length was the biggest issue for me.
      All the best, David & Rachel 👍❤️

    Nice vans, well picked out. As you are tall you won’t like the Autotrail 635 sport as it will be too short. Your top 3 are - 1. S&L Apollo, 2. Vantage Neo, 3. Wildax Europa.

    Enjoyed this comparison David. Thought the Elddis were good value although I have worked on the original release so have always liked them. I am looking at the CV20/40 but we have a lab who lies to sleep on the bed in our MH. Where does Roxy sleep? Its cold on our floor in the winter

    • @LeisureBit
      @LeisureBit  2 месяца назад +1

      Thank you - The Elddis are definitely good value for what you get which was one of the reasons we got the CV20 in the first place. Roxy sleeps normally on a thick dog bed with a throw on it on the floor between the seats and seems to like that, the dog bed is nice and thick so keeps her cozy. Occasionally she does decide to jump up and try and get into bed though 😀 I fitted a Lagun style mount to the back door and have a small table top on it so it freed up a good bit of space where I had the table before so Roxy can get to the back and you don't trip over her when you get out of bed which works well. Hope that makes sense, all the very best, David 👍

      Can you please tell me where does Roxy spend her time in the CV20 when you’re travelling and is she anchored to a seat belt? I’m still trying to work out travelling in a van with 2 belted seats 🤔

    At our age £70,000 is an awful lot of days in a luxurious hotel. Or even more days in a b&b . No insurance, road tax etc. I know which I prefer. 😂

    • @LeisureBit
      @LeisureBit  2 месяца назад

      It’s a very fair point when you do the math on it, if you use a van very regularly it’s not too bad but if infrequently it’s exceptionally expensive. £70k is a lot of money. Thanks for the comment, all the very best David 👍

    • @davidlindley485
      @davidlindley485 2 месяца назад

      @@LeisureBit It isn't expensive! The full equation must take account of the value of the van when you come to part with it. We recently sold our Malibu and got the same price back as we paid for it new three years earlier.. To my mind we have had some pretty cheap holidays.

    • @LeisureBit
      @LeisureBit  2 месяца назад

      And how much of that £70,000 do you get back at the end, whereas a five year old Campervan is still likely to give you £40,00+ in resale value….

      The most important thing to consider is in say 5 to 10 years in the future when you decide to pack in touring you'll get 30 to 50% back on your original purchase price, a holiday company/ b n b won't be saying thanks for custom, here's upto 50% of your holiday money back !
