    I have the Axil wired like yours and the wireless earbuds. I prefer the wireless ones. The wired ones are fine when shooting my pistol. When shooting my rifle, the right one becomes displaced when putting my cheek to the stock. The wireless ones don’t do that. They are my go-to ear-pro.

      Thanks for sharing your experience. I really want to try out the wireless buds and see if they work better for me.

      Bought 2 pair of AXILs, not impressed, theye SUCK at an indoor range, they're OK on an outdoor range. I have a pair I got on Colion Noir's site and they work much better.

    I just use foam ear plugs, but if I'm shooting a match I use electronic Walkers

    I’m with you, not a huger fan of axil, I have the same issue. I like the walkers with the gel, for rifles I got really big with some big Howard Leight. They don’t seem to bug me when shooting but sure like the bigger protection when shooting larger caliber rifles.

    • @ChristianGrest
      @ChristianGrest  Месяц назад

      I typically double up with protection but maybe I should look at some larger muffs for more protection from larger calibers. I also shoot suppressed almost all the time except pistol and certain rifles. Definitely helps but I can’t control what folk around me are shooting.

      Nice! They are good and compact. Any issues with yours in regards to fitment? That’s been the biggest complaint I’ve had, but could just be my ears.

    I use the Peltor Sport Tactical 100 along with the old fashion foam ear plug. I think all ear muffs need an upgraded gel padding. The material gets stiff and doesn’t seal well over time.

    • @ChristianGrest
      @ChristianGrest  Месяц назад +1

      I’ve yet to try Peltor, but they’re supposed to be really good. Good to know these aren’t the only ones needing upgraded gel pads.

    I have Walker Razors Quad (non bluetooth). I did replace the ear pads with the gel type and it is worth it. I also use foam ear plugs from time to time. I am slowly looking into the wireless electronic earbud types.

    Try the surefire ep7s. I love them. They lock into your ear and are not electronic. I have never had them fall out and don't irritate me after wearing them for a few hrs like the hickey mouse ears do

      Thanks for the suggestion! Will have to check those out. I do prefer electronic earn pro when I can just so I can hear range commands.

    I have walker's they are ok. A lot of ppl I know had issues with them, and they wouldn't warrant them...
    I picked up some axil muffs and the ear buds 2.0 for 159 for the set .first for buds for me so far I like them.

    • @ChristianGrest

      Yea that stinks if they don’t warranty them. Wonder what the issues were as all of the ones I have (like 5 sets) have been solid. I do like my Axils but have had the issues I described. I want to try their wireless buds. Sounds like their muffs might be worth a shot as well.

      @@ChristianGrest ....I haven't used the axils muffs yet just the ear buds..
      On the walker's they had the Wires fray and break going into the Muff. Lots of static when the muffs are on And one person had the sound Completely out.
