the older we get, guess what we would start lacking? motivation. Put all your energy in it, let your entire body play the note, feel it with your heart and listen to it with your ears. Use all what God gave you to produce the sound that you'd be happy with. Forget about all what your instructor tells you for a minute. Play one note with a straight bow, back and forth, and smile while doing it, knowing that you're almost there :) keep playing until you hear that note come to life like you "imagined' it. You need to know what you want to hear before you even lay that bow on that string. You can play this and you can even play better if you really wished for it. and by the way 50 is still young. do it and post it on RUclips for everyone to see. I'm cheering for you.
