In reply to fabio, there's no deterioration in recording quality with multiple overdubs. 4 minutes is the maximum length of a loop. That can include an unlimited number of overdubs. It only stores the most recent overdub and the current mix, so previous overdubs do not take up memory capacity.

About to buy this for my dad but can’t find any answers to this question: How on the beat do you have to be when you stop your initial loop? If you stop it a little early or late will it chop it off at the end of the bar, or will you have a messed up loop?
That button in the middle seems to make all the difference. When it's greyed and you tap the bottom buttons it loops instantly, but when it's lit up green it tries to loop to the last bar of the drum loop and is more forgiving.

One question can you toggle between two a memories in real time? for example while playing memory one can you queue memory two and have it play at the end of memory one in order to create chorus and verse thank you
You can toggle between memories in real time manually or with a footswitch, relying on good timing to avoid missing a beat. However, there is no way to queue memories to play automatically. You may need to buy a Trio Plus, if that's what you want to do.
If I record a clean tone to loop then change the amp to a distorted tone (or any other effect or tone), the loop then goes from clean tone to distorted max. I want to keep the loop clean. Is there a way I can do this? Basically, I want to have the clean loop playing while I jam over it with a distorted tone.
@@SRguitar Thanks for the quick reply! I’m using a Marshall code 25 which doesn’t have an fx loop. It’s the only pedal I’m using. Would you say I’m out of luck?
You could use an overdrive/distortion pedal on front of the looper instead of the amp distortion. That’s the only way it would work. The looper always needs to be after the distortion
Best looper demo I’ve seen! The loopers I’ve previously used have had a somewhat annoying learning curve but this looks pretty user-friendly, which translates to better creativity. I’m afraid I’ll lose hours of time if I get it, which is a great possibility now 😁👍🏻
I bought this, and am having 2nd thoughts 1st problem, the volume of the rhythms are so much. Even at the lower setting of 1, it is loud an unusable -- too loud -- with a loud tube amp, its drum patterns are unusable unless you want to go deaf. 2nd issue:there seems to ve no way to save the rhythm drum with the loop. If I want the drums, I must remember what pattern and what BPM I used I am thinking of sending it back
Hi, 1. Try to make the looper volume on the left control higher, that should help to get a balanced volume with the drums. 2. You have to press the Merger control in the middle of the pedal to synchronize with the drums. If you record now, the drum beat and the bpm will be recorded and saved with the loop. I hope i yould help you with that!
Loopers' MAIN PROBLEM = staying synced to a beat. This quantizes to the measure of its internal drummer, BUT WILL IT STAY "SYNCED" to an external drum (BeatBuddy) set to the same bpm? This would fix the obvious problem of mixing drums and guitar together (or add a bass with drum!)
I would be amazed if it stayed in sinc with an external drum machine for long, without a midi connection. But the beauty of a looper with drums is that the loop and the rhythm are synced. Mixing is not an issue if you put your effects in front of the looper and play through the clean channel of your amp. I use it in the effects loop of my amp, which works well .
@@rhferg If devices acurately do bpm, and the looper quantizes to the bar, looping becomes soooo easy! Have a Zoom multi effect with a looper/drum that does, but the drums suck. So does the multieffect, sunken buttons, plastc crap. BeaBuddy works great, just need a quantizing looper... it doesn't matter if the loop is a little off if quantized; without, each replzy of the loop gets more off (the length unequal to 8 bars, for example)
@@markplimsoll That's interesting. The Donner definitely quantises accurately. I've run loops continuously for 50+ cycles, with zero slippage. When you record a loop, it adjusts the length to match the nearest whole number of bars of the rhythm pattern. During playback, it triggers the loop on the first beat of the first bar of the rhythm sequence each time it comes round. So it doesn't/can't drift because it is being resynced every few seconds.
@@rhferg Can you turn the drum volume way down and run a different digital drum at tbe same bpm? i wonder about "industry standards" for tempo precision! If not..... midi sucks.
@@markplimsoll I'll run an experiment testing the looper against a metronome app in my phone. I'll also see if the drums can be muted. I'll let you know the outcome. OK. It's good news and bad news. YES!!! Circle Looper's beats per minute sync "close enough" so we can easily hit the looper button and the loop "quantizes" or stops on the bar, or close enough it does NOT hiccup and get further off with each loop cycle (on some Beat Buddy beats ONLY, because Beat Buddy beats get recorded with human drummers, so they too are not as accurate as digital. Who cares? Record the Beat Buddy into the loop! TAKE NOTES OF CIRCLE LOOPER DRUM AND TEMPO for your loops, in case you need to recreate, or move slots. Seems circle looper's software handles the metadat about its beats and tempo, so write things down to edit .WAV loops in Audacity for loundess, EQ, etc. and import new WAV files into the clooper. Circke Looper uses 24 bit, and Boss RC-3 uses 16 bit, so pay attention when you edit/export/save/create the file in Audacity, for example. I love my Circle Looper!
