I just enjoyed watching and listening to you tell about your favorites (and not-so-favorites). You’re so easy to listen to and actually inspired me to try some fantasy reads.
Thanks for watching! Let me know how you like the books if you try any of them!
I could listen to you describe your favorite books all day, Katie!
I agree re. The Hobbit.
I have wonderful memories of reading the Harry Potter books. When our kids were young we had "storytime" after supper every night. I usually did the reading but the kids would occasionally take a turn. We so enjoyed that time together. As a matter of fact, even when they got into their teen years they'd still ask if we were going to read after supper. ❣
Oh, your story time sounds wonderful! I read to Sarah every night, and sometimes I get tired of hearing, “Just one more book!” But I know it’s a special time that won’t last forever.
I completely agree that The Hobbit is better than TLOTR.
And as for the characteristics of a good fantasy story... for me I hate when they wrap up too quickly. I love the 'happily ever after' part and I want to know details of how they lived happily ever after!
That’s true! The happily ever after is very important.
