Hi Katie! Great video! Many of these are among my favorite authors and you chose great books to represent them. I haven’t read The Sixes, yet, and now it’s at the top of my list! Because, I loved how you described it! So, I’m very excited for that one, which I’m saving for official Autumn. I actually have never read Lucy Clarke, though, so I’ve now added The Hike to my list, as well. Loving your videos!
Love anything by Dashiell Hammett and Raymond Chandler. Then there is the original - The Sherlock Holmes short stories. Happy reading to you and your channel.
I have no idea why I'm watching thrillers as they scare me too much LOL! yet here I am adding to amazon list and getting ready to check out my library LOL! I need one for good easy relaxing reads (and yep I bought a box of old harlequins on ebay and laughed and rolled my eyes through one already (from the 70s -predictable, man with great driving skills - aka strong skilled hands on the steering wheel) and yep I enjoyed it!
Thank you for watching even though thrillers scare you! Of the books recommended in this video, try Zero Days - it’s exciting but not scary. For a good relaxing author, try something by D.E. Stevenson if you can find it. Her books are always restful to me. She was popular in the 50’s and 60’s, so you probably won’t find her books in bookstores, but they are available online and on Kindle.
@@WhileIReadwithKatieDodrill a lot of these sound good! I'm weird in that I'm fine with one if I k now what happens - I could re-read and be just fine - same with movies LOL! none of my friends like to watch movies with me because I want to know what happens!
i'm tryign to remember the title of a thriller type book I read a long time ago but hard to ask as I don't want to spoil it..sigh. I thought maybe Anne Stuart as I think I was reading some of her stuff back then - but a young woman was taken away as a child by her mother and was told never to go back there. turns out her birthmark indicated something she knew nothing about but the 'bad' person did. ring any bells?!
@@WhileIReadwithKatieDodrill I found it!!!! searched and searched because I KNOW I was reading Anne Stuart around that time (or trying to LOL!) then the name Amanda came to me and it's by Kay Hooper and yep I tried her 'big' books as I was liking some of her Loveswept titles back then. and Amanda is the title

Yes, can’t beat Sherlock Holmes stories! The Hound of the Baskerville is my favorite. Happy reading to you too!
I haven't read any of these, but now I want to read all 10 and see who ends up being my favorite 😊
Yea! I’m jealous that you have so many good books to read!
