- Today we take a look at a Toro Super Recycler self-propelled mower off of Facebook Marketplace. This mower features a 6.5hp Briggs & Stratton Engine and Toro's Personal Pace self-propel system. Overall the mower looks clean and just shows regular use, but our pull rope seems to lack travel, and the previous owner said that it "ran when parked" a few years ago.
Hopefully a quick carb clean and new recoil pull-start rope will solve our problems, and make for a nice flip in the spring!

Small RUclipsrs doing satisfying work
Subbed!
I was just given one exactly like yours. Mine unfortunately needs a ton of work. There are two grease fittings. One for each of the drive wheels. Make sure if you haven't already to pump some grease in there. Great video man!
What is the diameter of the B&S replacement pull cord?
That I don’t know, but on mowers I typically use the 3/16” rope from Home Depot ($3 for 50ft) and that seems to do the trick. (Although sometimes I have to slightly drill out the hole in the plastic recoil assembly) If you step down a size, you shouldn’t have that issue, but I prefer the higher diameter rope for extra strength.
Well done. What year is the SR4?
Thank you! I personally don’t know the year of the mowers… I suppose if you have a serial number, there should be a way to look it up on Toro’s website.
