What makes this story powerful is that the doctors said he didn’t have much time to live but thru the amazing love and support that was brought into him he beat the odds and lived twice as long as he was supposed to ! Exactly. It actually emphasizes the family's goodness, as we all know how brutally challenging it must be to raise a child with the physical ailments Michael had. We are honest with ourselves about what we can and cant do, but to admit to the world what we can and cant do takes courage. We are not perfect as humans, and Charles is just that, hes Human, explaining what he cant do. We are with you Ernie ❤️
I grew up at a time where Michael Jordan was larger than life. I stopped paying close attention to the NBA after he retired. This show is 100% of the reason I came back. None of the individuals on here are replaceable. They are so truly genuine, for better or worse, and I respect and appreciate that so much. With that said, Ernie is the cornerstone. It wouldn’t work without him and who he is as a person. It shines through every night. My sincere condolences to Ernie and his family.

Sorry for your loss EJ, Michael seemed like a really great kid who made the most of the cards he was dealt…that takes courage to live the life he did. It also takes courage to take that responsibility on like you did Ernie, and frankly it says a lot about you as a man. Makes me believe there is truly good in this world 🌍 RIP Michael Johnson, may you Rest In Peace and we’ll see you on the other side ✌️😢

To look into their eyes while they were expressing their true inner feelings touched me so deeply.
Thank you for taking the time to pay tribute to your colleague who is going through parents worst nightmare.
Even when you know your child will not out live you, when the day comes a parent still hurts as much as they would if they hadn't known it was coming.
This video goes to show you that real men, giant men, can share feelings and emotions. Thank you so much.

My heart is hurting for the Johnson Family and friends. Having dealt this in my family, I know how special a person with MD is. You gave a child that maybe would have never lived as long as he did a Beautiful life! He’s in heaven now and telling everyone about his parents and family and friends all the love he received and gave in his short time here…🙏😢😘

Ernie is a huge role model for every kid in Milwaukee whos even heard the word "NBA". I'll always owe my highschool basketball career to Ernie, always wanted to one day be interviewed by him and tell him how many kids look up to him. back then i looked up to him because he's an analyst, but now i look up to him for something more than that: him being an amazing, beautiful, and caring human being who doesn't deserve ANYTHING to harm him physically or mentally. we love you ernie, praying for you and Cheryl. and i know Michael is in a better place right now, probably hooping like he never got a chance to on earth and dominating

Well, in truth, we who take care of special needs people gain so much in terms of seeing an example of strength and spirit despite their circumstances that it's like an exchange and I would say an uneven exchange because we get more from you than what we give.
      Thank you
