Mr Mortlock sir a very interesting and informative episode, I usually just click on vids before seeing the run time, when I realized this was over a hour I thought oh dam but I stuck with it and am glad that I did. Like you said a few times to see inside everything in such an operation like this was special,a big thank you to Lazzara and to you for bringing this to us,ten out of ten!🤗👌🖖

I did not realize until recently some ship yards had to have contracts are everything stopped. Seem like a lot potentially terrible scenarios could come from that approach for everyone involved. A very educational vlog. At the end I am sure the information was overwhelming from the volume and approach of the ship yard.

FYI there's someone on here replying to comments as you. It's obviously a scammer as the message contains request to contact someone named Fredrick or something on Instagram about a unique business opportunity along with a whatsapp number. I unfortunately can't copy or paste it. Also the logos the same but if you click on it it says joined 4 days ago instead of years. I'd report it but last time I did such a thing on fb my account ended up being banned for reporting a scammer impersonating a friend of mine

Antalya is quite a long ways from the earthquake zone. It's 400 - 500 miles by road to Gaziantep.............. I just saw a video of extensive damage in Antalya. It looks like many buildings may have collapsed. The shipyards are newer, though. It looks like good construction in the video, but how many boats fell off their supports?

I’ve gotta say, watching this tour here and watching guys like Alexei over at Bering Yachts (and a few other amazing boat building company facilities) be so open with these in-depth tours of the entire process with no restriction as to what’s being filmed, it really is a huge benefit to cementing the quality of their brand to the buying public of these vessels. In fact, allowing folks the opportunity to see and share in the enthusiasm these company owners display when digging into the deeper details of construction while delivering an obvious wealth of intimate knowledge of why it’s different is a special way is a very smart way of gaining the confidence of that very same buying populace. Very interesting and very revealing for these exceptional boat builders for sure. 👍🏻😎👍🏻

Tristan, their teak decks are done similar to how teakdecking does theirs. We would fit boards into a jig and lay them bottom side up and then move the jig to the template. Then fit fiberglass mesh and epoxy over and vacuum seal it. The jig's they use are 40ft long. Next time you're in the Sarasota area you should ask to do a walk-through of the plant. They are located right across from the old wellcraft factory.

Tristan, you were so right when you made the comment about the Stainless Steel metalworkers being Artists, for that is what they, and their fellow Yacht building workmates are. A well-built boat is a piece of Marine Art in my opinion! When building/buying a Yacht, a seasoned owner (and new) will not be concerned with the ascetics alone (although obviously, how a Yacht looks, both on the inside, and outside matters). What should, in my opinion, be more important is how the parts connect, become the whole. One needs to be interested in the 'how' all of it was/is made, and then how it is put together (e.g. what keeps it in place etc). This means looking at the quality of the multitude of products made/created that make up the finished boat. We want to know things such as what Tristan commented on in respect to staff 'comfort,' not just in the various departments/offices, but on the shop floor. It is paramount tradespeople enjoy their working environment, that they have a sense of physical (non-cramped) comfort, and where possible, to remove all external/internal stress from their work area. Why, first, and foremost, SAFETY, not just in the work environment, but in the Yacht, the finished product. A happy workforce will generally translate into a higher level of quality construction, and finishing. Both the Yacht builder, and owner want everything to go where it should, to fit as it should, to operate as it should, to last as it should! If you skimp on any area, and I mean any area, you reduce the overall safety of the end product, and you lower the professional bar, once a bar is lowered in one area, it usually follows the same will occur in other areas as well. You must not do that when potential owners are putting the lives of their families, friends, and selves in your hands on the high sea! Reputation is everything in any area of life, George obviously knows this, appreciates this, as does Tristan, and anyone who enjoys the imbibing (in this instance meaning the imbibing of moral principles to ensure maximum vessel safety) of quality products as both George and Tristan clearly do! It also fits with George's intention that a Yacht skeleton will last forever. I believe that intention to be an honourable endeavour, especially when looking at it from a sustainability point of view! Lazzarra is clearly not a Yacht builder interested in taking shortcuts, from what I am hearing, and seeing, Lazzarra is fully innovation orientated with an intention of becoming second to none. I think a lot of us might agree they are well on their way to achieving that goal! Thanks Lazzarra for letting Tristan, and us in, I do wonder why it is so many other Yacht builders appear to be 'afraid' to do the same? I, for one, have always had the habit of trusting, and having faith in a product when I know that product's genesis! I like Lazzarra's ethos of openness, in this alone it already is second to none, it is the Industry Leader!

Interesting to see,a lot of these companies noticed the success RUclips exposure brought to Bering yachts and are now trying to catch up with similar videos.
I seem to remember just a couple of years ago, many were rolling their eyes when filmed for RUclips. How things have changed. And all thanks to people like super yacht captain, nautistyles, aquaholic and David from yachts for sale.
I guess a lot of buyers watch their videos. Which makes sense.

David (Yachts for Sale) and I had this exact conversation years ago. It’s great for us, for the yard more importantly to the viewers. Lazzara yachts originally approached me end of 2019 and we had a meeting beginning of 2020 (Pre covid) at the Düsseldorf boat show, to create content even before Bering was having videos made. In fact Lazzara was the original yard to contact me to create content, they saw the potential. So they’re certainly not trying to copy anyone and obviously things were put onto hold and only now could we schedule something together. So hats of to George and the Lazzara team.

Dude stop asking questions and when he answers you start talking and cut him off before he answers the question. You asked a question now let the person answer it. Mr Mortlock sit down and watch this video and look at you ask a question and when the person answers you interrupt and finish their answer. You talk when they are talking. And, you did this through the entire video. Sometimes it's good to listen and not talk. Do yourself a favor, sit down and watch you in this video.

There is a term “angle of vanishing stability “ which is the inclination on the transverse axis from which the boat will not recover. For
a sail boat is 120 to 125 degrees, if the boat heels beyond this angle, she will overturn. Is there a similar term for motor yachts ?

  • @Far2hip

Something important to point out in that area they walked through just before the exterior painting rooms. Notice how all scrap and excess materials are intentionally separated and stored in independent lifting totes. When you see that sort of organization with the industrial waste or material scrap, you KNOW they are maximizing the reusability of that material. Either is being reprocessed in-house, or they are selling it as clean separated scrap. Sorta like the difference between just piling up appliances for scrap in bulk as opposed to yanking out separating, and stripping all the electrical wiring first so that you get 3 or 4 times the money for only 1/4 of the material weight. Just financially smart. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
