What a fantastic tour and very gracious captain. I would say wow to the quality of the rebuild, yet that doesn't quite cover it - so I'll just say incredibly well thought out design and beautifully executed. Great to hear the owner was so involved in the design process.
What a fantastic looking boat Tristan. Kudos to the captain and owners design revisions. May I give a small suggestion? The video started without really seeing the exterior of the vessel. It started with a shot partway up the stern. With so much open room there is on the first few decks, I was having a hard time getting my bearings. It would be great if there was a shot of the stern from the pier or some added drone footage.
I was so glad to see this video. Coral Ocean is a classically beautiful yacht design. I used to know the owner when she was named Coral Island and was lucky enough to be aboard her during some epic dive trips. My last memory of her is sipping champagne on the back deck after an epic manta ray dive.
Fantastic walkthrough gentleman, really showcased the vessel beautifully. Amazing to hear the Captain’s passion! Amazing the owner stepped on board for a week, and then had such clever ideas for the reconfiguration. Must be a very clever guy. Credit to everyone involved on such a beautiful refit.
Tristan has really delivered a treat for us Dreamers ! This is a step aboveboard what the other RUclipsrs have presented. They seem to be focused on what average people can afford and that is ok. But this is much better than looking at a 2005 23 foot day boat. This boat is beautiful and well worth its base charter costs. I was told you bound easily double the base charter to include all the incidentals. It us nice to see what people who can afford $1.2 million fur a week get for their money. Well done !
Yes - the camera work was nicely paced. No sudden moves around. And of course hearing two captains talk about the boat is better than someone walking through that doesn’t know much. This blows away all the other boat tour channels out there. I hope there are many more like this to come!!
What an Amazing yacht, great job on the tour Tristan really enjoy this style of tour from a captains perspective going over some of the topics that don’t normally get asked. Looking forward to more to come.
One of the best walkthrough videos I have seen. Thanks SYC for another great upload and to the Captain of Coral Ocean......Thank you for an amazing insight into this stunning SY...
Aquaholic does meet the owners so you get their history of ownership. Would be nice to hear about these millionaires, also would have been nice to hear the captains own personal boating history. Tour great but would give a personal touch.
Thank you very much , for this great tour of a yacht ,that really fuels dreams, of one day being able to rent that beast, and spoil every member of the family. AWESOME Tristan, and thanks again 😀
I used to struggle with the who's and why's of chartering a boat for that much a week. I guess it makes all the sense in the world though if you can only spend X weeks a year on it vs. paying for the boat AND paying the ~10% of the boat's MSRP per year on upkeep and salaries. Beautiful boat by the way!
YES, owning a vessel versus Just enjoying a week. My little 26 foot vessel, just out of haul out yearly upkeep ($7000) That's just outdrive upkeep. Normal work keeping her ship shape. like you so Brilliantly said. Owning a vessel with the change out/ normal wear and tear, the upgrades. After OWNING a small vessel. I would rather Rent or charter, NOW.
What a fabulous yacht Tristan! Good filming job! Really enjoyed it! Thx to the captain and the crew for making this amazing video possible! Been watching for years and i was waiting for this kind of video! Well done 👏
Absolutely Tristan ,a most enjoyable tour of brilliantly designed and truly functional vessel allowing the crew to make a stay on the yacht extremely memorable, I saw a little green tint of envy in your eyes, LOL 😆 Nick and Marianne (Aquaholic) would have probably loved to been on board,
An absolutely magnificent ship from stem to stern but why did they not include a day head on the sundeck when doing the re-build? It would have made life much more comfortable for guests to relax in that beautiful place.
@@SuperYachtCaptain what a lovely Super/mega yacht Tristan. I agree, yes it is their home away from home but there must have been one free for casual use as the Captain said they had extra cabins for the likes of beauty therapists etc, also the crew dining areas. Filming was a bit quick quick, so no idea of what shape this boat is really, a nice bit of drone work would be nice. Perhaps on the next super yacht you get on you will be able to show absolutely all areas in and out and not so rushed.
Feedback: please show us what the exterior of the boat looks like. Just an amazing video well presented great questions and tour. But I was so lost and a quick look at the exterior dockside to start the video off would’ve done wonders.
Dare I say I loved her previous incarnation - such a restful interior, and although I only spent a few hours on her a few years after her launch, she was stunning. Not sure about her new interior . . .
Question: on a long-range explorer yacht, that has 4 crew members, what is the duties of the 4 crew members? AND if a yacht has had or even had several name changes since it was new, is there anything wrong with going back to the original name?
Where your boat is registered will determine the name. So if you register in Georgetown you cannot have the same name as another Georgetown yacht, and there are restrictions on vulgarity and for safety reasons (e.g. you cannot call your caught "Coastguard", "Police", etc.) but otherwise yes you can go back to a previous name. I'd imagine the 4 crew would be Captain, 1st Mate, Deckhand, and Interior (cook & clean), would be interested to hear Trist's thoughts on that one.
@@darthkek1953 As for the crew, thanks. Was wondering if i was right on that. though i had a cook/chief on my list alone but that would have brought up the crew to 5. Though on a private boat, what would I do with the empty cabins. granted the owner's cabin would be the captain's, and the owner's will be one of the VIP cabins
@@joeydepalmer4457 in the old days it was bad luck to ever change a name, and good luck to name it after a woman. But plenty of ships with women's names sank so, you know, take superstition with a pinch of salt.
Great video! But next time it would be amazing if you toured the galley too! Chefs are also watching these videos 😅 I was so curious but like i said great vid Keep up the content Cap!
I thought it was really weird that they cut the filming to the engine control room 🤔 I mean I would have understood it if it was a secret military ship with a secret part of the boat , but its not , it is only a yacht afterall , really weird !
For me, the interior of this ship would be a bit too bright and too garish; the coziness would be lost as a result. But that is of course a matter of taste. In order to judge the conversion, you would have to be able to compare it with what it was before.

Good suggestion, I was confused as well.
I was going to say the same thing, then I saw your comment. This is not the 1st video where he has done this.
Agree. I have no idea what the boat looks like. Filming is not Tristans strong point.
just google it.....there's a hundred photos of the exterior
Great tour. Amazing charter boat. The captain worked very hard, bless him.

The bit with the masseuse was great.
you can see how all captains are so proud of their boats
THAT yacht was amazing to tour. I'm absolutely blown away by how huge it is inside and all the amenities aboard .
Such well thought out improvements and well executed. So much more craftsmanship and hard work to accomplish than most will appreciate.

This is probably the absolute best yacht tour I have ever viewed! Excellent presentation . . .

Wow …full credit to owner for a class refit. One of the best I have seen…let me know when it’s for sale…….
Great to see this classic Bannenberg brought back to life.
Great 👍 Video Captain Mortlock.
this boat is truly stunning.....every thing on it the colours, the stemware, the china, truly amazing
Really great yacht, nice and clean, especially the engine room! 👍👍👍
Whoever is responsible for the design in that recent re-fit/re-build is obviously a genius!
Fantastic boat, with impeccable interior taste. I can only dream about traveling on such an exclusive super yacht.
Amazing boat and an amazing tour around it! Thanks a lot for sharing.
Fantastic tour and stunning vessel!
That shell door in a living room is crazy, never seen anything like that.
I’d like to see more larger yacht tour
Fantastic tour!
Thx!!
Awesome video. More of this type of videos please 🙏 thank you so much for your hard work. 👍
Excellent camera work and audio.
Very nice walkthrough! and what a yacht!! beautifully built.
Wow, that was amazing. Shame we didn't get to see the crew cabins and areas.
As she is a working vessel, crew cabins are private. It’s the crews home away from home and it doesn’t feel right to invade their space.

WOW love that engine room!! 👍👍👊👊🛠🛠
Great video and what an impressive yacht!
Bridge is awesome too! of course! 👍👍
Great video! I hope will see more like this. The bigger the better.
Needs a shot at distance at start to get bearings…..one of my favourite boats totally awesome
Beautiful. Love it!!
Charter walkthrough, which means no galley, crew mess or crew quarters etc, unfortunately. Nice to see another Lürssen up close though 😊
But you did get the engine room. Crew quarters are private to the crew.
wow amazing walk through
Wow incredible ❤ 😮
Stunning!
what a phenomenal boat
I love these boats. She smells like moon

Lovely boat. If I only knew what it actually looked like ! Does it not have an outside shape ?
Solution: Google Motor Yacht Coral Ocean. All the exterior photos you could want.

An amazing yacht
can i ask a question: i am 6 foot 8.......i dont think i would fit into some of the decks or maybe even all of them?......
I don't go on boat/yacht/ship to watch TV. I watch TV at home only.
Is there a discount for chartering it two weeks on the bounce? Asking for a friend…

Shame they could not sort that central staircase in the two year refit. It destroys the back of the boat.

I know this yacht. The owner is a Croatian billionaire.
UV Sauna ?!?! lmao
He means INFRARED Sauna

Ill give him a deal on Ceramic coating the whole yacht;)
