The Legend of the Hairy Hands of Dartmoor!

For 100 years people have told the legend of a giant pair of hairy hands causing cars and motorbikes to crash in a remote location between Two Bridges and Postbridge, Dartmoor.
Does an accident at the nearby gunpowder mill hold the key to this mystery?

Great reconstruction 😊 love it! Dr Helby's accident was 24th March 1921 - as reported in the first newspaper report of the time in March 1921. My great grandfather worked at Dartmoor prison alongside Dr Helby at that time. The British Newspaper Archive has all the original reports
