I watched your preview when you posted it and was super excited to get this charger. It was exactly what I was looking for. But I must say even though I still think the concept is fantastic, I was quite disappointed with it. Here's why:
For some reason, mine has one of the charging ports where the battery gets stuck and it's EXTREMELY hard to remove! You have nowhere to grip the battery so I have to shake the charger like a mad man in order to "eject" the battery. For that reason I will be sending it back to Amazon and getting a new one hoping the new one won't have the same problem.
When I first got it and charged the internal battery, the LCD seemed to indicate the correct charge percentage. I charged it to 100% and then used it to charge one LP-E6P battery that was pretty low (probably around 7-10%). It seemed to do a good job charging the LP-E6P battery, but it used a little over 50% of the charger's internal battery to charge one LP-E6P battery. That doesn't make any sense! This means that a fully charged internal battery won't even charge 2 LP-E6P batteries! A 12,400 mAh power bank should be able to charge at least 5 LP-E6P batteries (2130 mAh)... Reading the reviews on Amazon it seems I'm not the only one who noticed the capacity is nowhere near what is advertised! If it could indeed charge 5-6 batteries it would be great! But if it can only charge 1 or 2 then I guess I'd be better to just get 1 or 2 more spare batteries. They take up less space and are lighter to carry. 🤔
Then the last thing is, for some reason the LCD display seems stuck and won't display the correct charge percentage for the internal battery. It's stuck at like 37% and even if I plug it in to charge it it just won't show anything else. I left it plugged for a few hours and eventually it turned off so I guess the internal battery reached 100% charge, but the LCD display does not reflect that.
I'm willing to give them another chance and will see if the new charger does better, but that first experience with it was quite disappointing... I should be getting the new one tomorrow.
