An amazing hike, glad you enjoyed it! I sat and had lunch in the stockyards when I did it, a nice spot thats for sure! I took some pics of Westermans Hut and now on canvas at my place!

Another great video and location. Those pioneer huts are amazing. It is unbelievable how smokers feel they are immune to the appropriate way to deal with their used stubs. Regrettably I see it all the time in the city, but even worse to think they’d do it in the bush!

ha ha ha, I have no secrets and still feel sound is part of my videos I need to work on....might be over thinking it. I use a Rode Micro rode.com/en/microphones/on-camera/videomicro plugged straight into the phone which I film with. Hardy anything fancy. I bought a new one for the new phone (typical Apple shenanigans) and the dead cat fully thing doesn't;t seem to be as effective as the old one, but it seems to do the trick I guess. I don't do anything in post production to enhance sound except maybe voice isolation if there is a lot of background noise, but generally I like that because it's bird 🙂 For what it's worth I have always found your sound and voice really good....✌🏻
@@outandabout_oz thankyou :) I’ll definitely check out the rode mics! I did buy a wireless mic for my phone but I’m finding I’m doing more with the GoPro and I’m not sure the sound is as good as the phone tbh.
@@youmeandtheGSDs yeah, GoPros are great at what they are great at, struggle in other ways. They struggle with low light like the phone, I am thinking how I might sort that....if only I had a bottomless pit of money 🙂
Not sure of the brand, it is a generic thing I bought on Temu. Cost about $70 from memory but when I last looked the one I bought was no longer available. There are plenty of other version though. It is pretty good. 100mm think which is perfect, you can sleep on the side without hitting the ground, plus it has a built in foot pump. It's thick and durable with a quilted top to help with noise, but it's still not as quiet as foam. Down side, it is pretty bulky and heavy, but I am fine with that for the comfort 🙂 Thanks for watching, and thanks for reaching out ✌🏻
