- During this quarantine due to Covid 19, i happen to come across this film called Disney's Newsies : The Broadway Musical on TV. I am not really a fan of theatre or musical, so i was not really excited to watch it at first. Finally, one day i decided to watch this film since i could not find any other interesting show to watch on TV.
Guess what? I end up loving this film! It was very fun, the actors & actress & the soundtrack was really superb. Santa Fe is one of my favorite soundtracks from this film. I know there are other account that already upload lyric video for this song. Still, i decided to do a lyric video for this song with my own style since i really love this song.

My friend recently discovered that he's able to do the last note perfectly. The look of shock on his face and he continued to belt was hilarious!
GOD DAMN THIS SONG FUCKING SLAPS “Cause I’m dead if I can’t count on you today!” The guilt the desperation, like HOLY SHIT. It hits even harder when you listen to the prelude back to back. Like it’s so unfair that he had to take on so much responsibility without support, like I highly doubt he would have leaned on Crutchie too much, becuase he wants to be motivational to him and wants Crutchie to believe everything is okay, and now he’s GONE and the guilt is tearing him apart! Like holy LGODKGJDKFN this damn musical makes me likes borderline sob, and I wish I could sing this stuff! Okay so initially I was super upset becuase I thought the prologue came before this (accidentally read it as prelude) but you know what, THAT MAKES ME SO MUCH HAPPIER! Because things got better! Becuase he’s gonna get to go to Santa Fe and everything is gonna be alright! He has someone to share his dream with and someone to lean on- happy tears
I know this comment is over a year old, and I should be a nice stranger and keep my mouth shut, but alas, the prologue is the first song in the musical, and this song is toward the end. They never make it.😬

I am auditioning for newsies next week, and I’m using Seize the Day as my audition song, and I’m crossing my fingers for getting a role like Jack, Davey, or even Race, because for the past two years at my high school, I’ve auditioned for The Duke in Comedy of Errors and got ensemble, and then for Addams family I auditioned for Lurch, and got ensemble and then for Robin Hood, I auditioned for Robin Hood/ King John and got ensemble again, so I’m hoping for a bigger role, so please wish me luck.
