LETTUCE - "Mr. Yancey" 2/19/21 [intimate live set @ Cervantes] Denver, CO

This was a small cap 2-nighter, really geared towards the livestream audience. Recorded at Cervantes with less than 100 people in there, including staff (pandemic rules). LETT hadn't played any "real" shows in a good while, so we flew out from the Bay Area to see the fellas at long last.
We were seated at tables as individual parties, but eventually got up & boogied proper in our designated areas. Twas a very intimate, laid back, groovy, psychedelic couple of nights.
"Mr. Yancey", a crucial cut on 2008 sophomore LP 'RAGE', is the band's OG homage to the late, grate, pioneering producer J Dilla, is from night 2, set 2, on my birthday. In between sets, somebody asked what I wanted to hear, & this was one of my responses - one of the first songs that made me truly fall in love with the mighty LETT.
