The owner is a persona non grata amongst the Houston real estate community, hence his anonymity. The reason he never drove the cars was purely for financial gain. He’s not a true enthusiast as these cars reside in a downtown warehouse, sort of an urban living setting without twisty roads nearby to be driven on. Likely his biggest joy was the chase of some of these cars, especially the 93 RSR (1 of 2) and the 97 GT2 (1 of 17). I’m very glad he’s cashing in as I believe there are more faithful enthusiasts whose passion would better serve the essence of these cars and the heart and soul of a true driver. Thanks for visiting Houston Magnus.
As someone with a type R wanting an older 911 turbo ive accepted i cant afford one... 100k-200k+ now for an old 90s 911 turbo if its even semi clean. yeah id rather buy an old nsx for 65 and not be scared to drive it.
I felt bad about not taking my white 964 out more than a few times a month before seeing this. I really like the cars but they should be driven rather than sealed away in a museum like setting
Also, the longer they sleep the more likely something in the engine breaks when started. They usually have a healthy long life when you drive them at least around 300-400 km each month, gently warmed up and then driven hard.
That collection is unbelievable, but wines should be enjoyed, watches should be worn and cars should be driven. It's criminal to think all these collections worldwide where the cars are parked up and not drive such as the 964 Carrera RSR shown here. Respect to Magnus for getting out there and driving his cars.
But they are finite, so you can thank him for saving them for later I guess. Eventually none will likely exist. It’s a reason to drive them or save them.
Those cars should not be driven. It's way better for our planet to let them sit in a collection (and you can enjoy them just looking at them) and you can enjoy driving your Taycan.
One of the greatest Porsche collectors and fans shows us his collection. Thanks Magnus. I don´t have even a Matchbox Porsche because they are too expensive for my wallet but Porsches are wonderful cars.
The setup of that storage in full white is mental. As a Porsche guy I'm lost for words...unreal collection (apart some spec too white like the GT2RS or the painted lips of the 997 GT3RS). Great video!
I have a 1981 928 in special-order Chiffon White, 5-speed, that was originally sold new in San Antonio, Texas in late 1980. Still in incredible car-show shape and still an incredible driver and insanely fun car. Might look at selling next year but the idea of parting with this car is getting more painful by the day.
Still have my 1984 928s 78k miles guards red with tan aka champagne interior all original down to the blaupunkt cassette deck that the Dallas guys use as a reference point. Mine got me to my mom's funeral in 2016 which is why I can never sell mine. They are great cars .keep it and savor...always chocolate miles for you my friend.
77 what a year, I got a Santa Cruz skateboard with Cali Slalom Trucks rolling on Kriptonics, now if I’d been old enough to drive that Martini 924 would have been perfect, so 70s.
I too have a place for 924’s as I learned to drive in a ‘77 speed yellow 924 back in ‘79 while I was in LA where I grew up. My mom was extremely permissive (or foolish enough haha) to let me drive it not just to school once a week but take dates all the way to Huntington Beach! When I drove to school I snuck into the teachers parking lot and no one was the wiser as no kid drove a Porsche to school in my middle class suburb! I would then proceed to sneak out of class and drive to the donut shop and sneak back before third period ended. Again never got caught! Fast forward 42 years and I was able to get a 981 BS and return to the Porsche world. Love your channel and can’t believe you don’t have more subscribers but I’m sure others will find you. Love your reviews and perspective!
Very good video. A Denver friend was the Collection Manager. The collector was Vinod Ramani, owner of Urban Living, a Houston real-estate business that went belly up, probably as a result of his profligate spending to collect these cars. That and the guilty verdict in the copyright infringement lawsuit, which resulted in a judgment of $28 million against him. No reason to keep his identity a secret.
A extra low mileage Porsche is cool. But my 97 911 Carmine Targa will top 100,000 miles next year. It’s never seen a rain drop or a snowflake. Way cool.
The value of this collection, sure has been and is on a bit of a rollercoaster, especially with the newer models. Those old models, sure are really nice though.
I'm a Houstonian, I wish I could hang out with this guy. My silver 997 S wouldn't fit in with some of these rare examples. Mad respect to the dude that put this collection together.
@21:00 Revlon Red? Can Can red? Am I color blind because I see what looks to be more like a BMW Cinnamon color...not red at all? Now the silver sister car to this I can clearly see the interior looks bright red. Anyone? Also @25:50 they used a shot of the RSR not the GT
Amazing collection, but there is no way on God's green earth I would not have put several hundred, if not thousands of miles, on every car. I love collecting cars myself, but to me, they are also meant to be respectfully enjoyed.
They should be driven, viscerally enjoyed and shared not cosseted. Porsche did not make cars to be birds in a gilded cage. Too sterile a collection, however rare and outstanding. As always, thanks Magnus.
❤😂😮😊 one of these years I want to go to the Porsche factory and the man seem to see all the beautiful Bess looking Porsches and they’re the best and forget the rest
Thanks Magnus for a super upload, some folk collect model cars as it fits into there budget and guess this guy did the same with the real thing, I love seeing cars driven as much as in a collection both are good,to see a car as it appeared as new is incredible as is seeing one on the road, also seeing those cars back in there heydey in there era is another take. I luv cars in white and normally when I do one up on vid games it's white so I know which one I tuned,my fave is the Pontiac GTO as I had one in real life. Only been in one Porsche a 928 was great but would luv to try out all the Porsche cars especially the 70s ones I remember as a youngster. Best wishes to the uploader, friends, family and all who made this vid a reality and fellow viewers.
Hey Magnus. Fan from England here. Great video as always dude. The 993 GT2 was a Japanese car. Were they ever any RHD cars built, Japan is a RHD country. Seems odd to have LHD. All the best.
❤😂😢😮😊 Mangus I hope you get the bid for that Porsche so you could keep up with your collection piece. Take care. Have a good week and keep up the good work you do all the time.
Stunning cars Porsche for me is the top of the tree. My Porsche gets driven regularly so seeing cars more that a decade old with less than 100km is insane couldn't personally not drive them Porsche specifically are better, mecaniclyt being driven.
I really don’t care for Porsches if I’m honest and didn’t understand a word past 911 I’m afraid..but…this is a heck of a collection what ever you like or don’t car wise it’s very impressive I could certainly wonder around there having a gander and I actually really like white cars ..good choice of colour 👌 cool vid Magnus 👍
❤😂😢😮😊 man looks like you had a good time at that museum. The guy that has all those Porsches keep up the good work take care, and I like to meet Michael Strahan sometime. He’s a cool dude have a good week and you do good with all the porches OPP all the way
Definitely sensory overload on all the white. Wow! Hope you get to add to your collection. Have you ever thought of doing an episode with Nagira San from Rau welt? Hope I spelled all that right.

Holy Mary 😳😳😳welcome to Porsche Heaven
I’m so glad I got to film this with you and meet you Magnus!
I am so glad you did as well… Great Porsche representation video👍🏼👌🏼
So cool! I Did all the electrical and lighting in this awesome building! Seeing this collection in person is like nothing else!
The lighting looks top-notch! Well done!
impressive
Good job bro
I felt bad about not taking my white 964 out more than a few times a month before seeing this. I really like the cars but they should be driven rather than sealed away in a museum like setting
12 mile 918 is a crime.
Also, the longer they sleep the more likely something in the engine breaks when started. They usually have a healthy long life when you drive them at least around 300-400 km each month, gently warmed up and then driven hard.
Always feels weird to see such sweet rides as these never really broken in and ENJOYED where they should be....on the road and track!
i’ll take it out a few more times a month for you buddy don’t worry u don’t have to pay me anything
Says every poor person.
Missing the absolute model 959!!! Revolutionary. Years ahead of its time!
It’s already been sold
I never cared much about going to a lot of places but here and the Porsche museum are 1 and 2 ! The order in which doesn’t matter ❤

saving them for people who have the cash to buy them (those people won't drive them)@@MavidG
Those cars should not be driven. It's way better for our planet to let them sit in a collection (and you can enjoy them just looking at them) and you can enjoy driving your Taycan.
@@22Epic Some cars should be saved
If this was my collection, I would live in the building!🔥
I was lucky to film this collection for PCA in 2018. Glad you got the chance to film before everything is sold off!
Buying these cars and not driving them is like marrying a supermodel and refusing to sleep with her.
Just bizarre.
Supermodel's don't age as well.
@@GEB-yy3ud😂😂😂😅
Agreed and it wouldn’t even depend on the supermodel!
Heaven for Porsche lovers. I remember that rsr on sale in the UK think it was £1 million and that was about 5/6 years ago. Thanks Mags
Magnus is a driver enthusiast much like many of us but I’m sure the owner was cringing about him touching the paint and putting his hat on the roof 😂
I know that's what I thought about
poor cars they vanished into dust as soon as anything touched them
@@oficina_moomoo definitely not but when it’s a museum collection there’s definitely an etiquette
His shoes and the buttons on his jacket. You know they were thrilled. And slamming the doors.
One of the greatest Porsche collectors and fans shows us his collection. Thanks Magnus. I don´t have even a Matchbox Porsche because they are too expensive for my wallet but Porsches are wonderful cars.
Porsche 911 - kicking Ferrari's butt since 1964 😆Thorough video! What a collection to behold. Cheers Magnus 🙌
Cars meant to be driven. Awesome collection.
The setup of that storage in full white is mental. As a Porsche guy I'm lost for words...unreal collection (apart some spec too white like the GT2RS or the painted lips of the 997 GT3RS). Great video!
That's ALOT of million dollar Porsches. It's fantastic and I hope this is televised, because it's going to be CRAZY!🤘
A heavenly collection that will no-doubt bring some pretty pennies. Thank you Magnus.
Amazing! I run by that building all the time, and have often wondered what it was. Who knew it was holding such a treasure trove?!
When someone sitting in your car counts as actual mileage: 24:17
Thanks for the show Magnus and Co.! Greetings from Granby, Colorado!!
I love the way Magnus bangs these doors like saying: "Get these cars on the road again!

Mate 😢
Why would you even want to sell it? keep it maintained and keep it in the family.
Destroying the world around with oil and other pollutes that the car produces when driving

So this is the collection Spike and Co. were talking about. Not into white personally, but still pretty rad to see all these examples under one roof.
You mean Spike banging on about his impeccable taste in cars and fashion and how no one can possibly like white cars?
That’s the one!
I'm sure a few will go to his friend in New York.
WHITE is BEAUTIFUL
Absolutely mind blowing collection, a real out of control hobby!
Tax write offs.

Very entertaining, nicely done Magnus and co.
So that’s what Porsche Heaven looks like.
Hi Magnus, can you come down under and do a video on the Fox Collection of sapphire blue Porsches? You'll love them, as will your fans.

Magnus I love your channel… It’s my favorite car channel of all time since I am a big Porsche guy as well!👍🏼👌🏼
That RSR is incredible! I’m also a fan of an all white Porsche.
A extra low mileage Porsche is cool. But my 97 911 Carmine Targa will top 100,000 miles next year. It’s never seen a rain drop or a snowflake.
Way cool.
993 Gt2 always been 1 my favorite Porsche of all times very slept on u never hear anyone speak of them
What an absolutely stunning collection, thanks Magnus for sharing this collection with us and explaining the specs 👍🏽😎 . 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Where’s he from? He sounds like a cross between Paul McCartney and Lemmy from Motörhead.
"wow gee thanks youtube man for showing me some rich scumbags toys!!"
Get a grip.
Super cool! Part of me wishes someone steps up and keeps the collection together.
Far Out! It seems a shame they will be separated, but it's also good that more Owners will be able to enjoy them
This collection is spellbinding. They chose the right guy to showcase it. And didn't he love it.
The value of this collection, sure has been and is on a bit of a rollercoaster, especially with the newer models.
Those old models, sure are really nice though.
Idc what he’s doing EVERY TIME I see Magnus I say he gotta be the coolest dude on earth after the Dos Equis guy
Is it bad that my eye was drawn to the tractors?
I would love just one 911 ha
Great video great collection totally mind blowing some one can have that many Porsches
Thanks
Dave
You can have any color that you want as long as it's White. 🏁🏁
The door slam 😂
What an amazing collection, thanks for documenting this for us.
I'm a Houstonian, I wish I could hang out with this guy. My silver 997 S wouldn't fit in with some of these rare examples. Mad respect to the dude that put this collection together.
Love your work. Glad to have met you in Atlanta (me in a matte black 66 911).

thanks Magnus for the trip. A white out.
I was most interested in the mini cars at the beginning... too cool.
I was expecting Oompaa Loompas to come running out at any moment and start singing a schathing song about how someone f-ed up....
At 25:50 they show the RSR by accident when talking about the 911 GT. All those white Porsches got the editor confused. 😂😂😂
This channel is fantastic. Nice work!!!! (HOU is my fav city)
Magnus films are next level. What a great guy. Super entertaining to watch. Thankyou.
Thank you for sharing this magnificent collection before it disperses all over the world. I'd love to bid on the Martini 911sc.
Daydreaming about driving that gt2 up the ski hill. Awesome spec.
Awesome collection. Definitely going to watch the sale!

He who dies with the most toys....still dies. Beauty cars.
Imagine how any other secret collections there are, that might one day see the light of day like this one.
Currently for auction so the owner can pay the $28.8 million fine for his real estate development company's copyright infringement.
This is such an INSANE collection... W.O.W.
OMG, there is a lot of White Power here. But seriously there are some beautiful Porsche here.

40 minutes for less than 10% of the collection 😯 Shmee must see this collection 🤞🏾
I think a more appropriate name is "this is what heaven looks like collection"
I'm surprised no 959, they came in white. Awesome collection, but crazy some were never driven.

Bad news over 315000 people know you are interested in the 924. 😂. Amazing collection.
Cool! - If i could own ANY Porsche, it would have to be the Porsche 959 in silver, as it looks sooo good! ^_^
Perfect day for this video
Wowzer, what a collection.
I love Magnus basically calling bullshit on how difficult the interior was to make on the 918.
I’d like to have seen a 959. Amazing collection though.
Check out the video I did for PCA. The 959 once sat in the middle of the collection as the "crown jewel".
Nice vid and Collection, butt the sound is like a basketball game!😂
This guy is all u have to know about PORSCHE, look his history. !
Magnus, the 993 gt2 is made only 57 or 60 if we counting the 3 factory race car.
@6:00 so that’s 977 not 911 sport classic?
What a collection....correct me if i'm wrong, but he's missing the 959 and Carrera GT...
You don't see them often and they are not that popular but I have a thing for the Porsche 968 club Sport. There's something about it...
Amazing, I feel inadequate with a white 991.1 GT3 and a white 997.2 C2 , they do need black wheels though 😁
Impressive! And for me is hard to find and buy even hot wheels porsches to colect.. :/
Awesome Art ... for 75 Years Made in Germany !
