That theme is still stuck in my head till this day. Even if 80s cartoons were made to sell more toys it was still awesome. Please do Sky Commanders next.....
This classic is still one of my all time favorite cartoons, right up there with Silver Hawks & C.O.P.S! Those 3 would make excellent movies today, if done right. . .🤩👏🏾😉💯
I totally love this show. I love the way the villains served as foils against the heroes and vice versa. Darkstorm's staff causes decay and ageing. While the counter for that is youth and vitality, Leoric's power is wisdom, which is typically derived from living a long life. So Decay and Wisdom are two sides of the same coin. But while decay is the dark sidenof ageing, Leoric's is the bright side. Arzon's Staff of Knowledge is the counter for Cravex's Fear (we fear the unknown, and once known, fear can be managed or even defeated). Cindarr's unfocused chaos is countered by the singular focus of Crytoke's Mighty Bow. Witterquick's unstoppable speed force is met by Lexxor's unmovable shield. I love it!
Holy Holograms, Batman! I forgot this show even existed, so thanks for reminding me about it! The whole concept was based on the gimmick that they could make a holographic image on the chest of an action figure, lol
Great video, love your content! Remember watching Visionaries after school, even had the toy for Witterquick (sp?). I think they also had a comic for a brief time. Would love for them to do a remake or reboot using the animation and effects that are available now.
1 season… this ran for 1 season and that’s a travesty! This show was the absolute nuts! I had the first on 2 episodes VHS (look it up on Google young people!) and watched the shit out of it! The intro alone still stands the tests of times. 80s cartoon were best cartoons 👍🏻
Was one of my favorite cartoons back in the 80s. Don't think I remembered seeing the full series to the end. I believe I saw a DVD series out so will start looking for it.
I really enjoyed the show, though it came on at a bad time in the local market (7am, Saturdays, just a time a kid wants to wake up). The show was pretty well done, and the toys were well-articulated. I think they just didn't have enough "it" factor to push them ahead of the other big Hasbro products, like GI Joe and Transformers. I also got two of the six comics from the bargain bins at one of the local stores recently.
@@Des_Zee Yeah, they did a similar thing with "Captain Power" too. I know many markets aired it extremely early in the morning on the weekends. In mine, they aired Saturday afternoons, which meant it was usually preempted by a sportsball broadcast.
Some of the names in the narration don't match up with who is on screen, but fun video. It takes me back! I had seven of the figures, but everywhere I went to get the eighth figure, Leoric was sold out. I never got any of the vehicles, but I don't remember seeing them either.
Wow. Just two weeks ago the show just got a public release on the Saturday Morning Remastered channel [1]. "Visionaries" is one of those shows I reminice with nostalgia not because of the toys but because most of its content can be adapted into this new Internet era as a really potent food for thought. Maybe that's just me, but the fighting between the spectral knights and the dark lords really didn't align with the typical "good vs evil" theme it was trying to broadcast. Let's just be honest for a second, both sides were only vying for power in their own ways, it's only an Atreides (soft) vs Harkonnen (hard) fight. Another part that is interesting is this premise of a whole world that revolves around a fixed cycle that either (1) abides by what we do know from science OR (2) straight up does not, opening the way to what _us modern viewers_ would consider magic or nigh impossible feats like breaking the laws of causality, reversing chemical reactions, creating energy out of thin air or altering the properties of any material at no cost. So… yeah. In this day and age, a reboot, assuming a good screenwriter and producer could guide it, would really shine. Forget the toys and just go video games, tho. That is the only animated show with impressive dialogue translation to my country's language. Come to think of it, that cartoon show mast have been made by people of deep connections. Referring to literature.
You have got some of the names wrong not all of them got power staffs. Only 4 of each side got Power Staffs good video though this was a Amazing cartoons in the 1980 XMEN Thundercats transformers He Man Visionaries. Wish they would make it again in now adays would be Amazing
I family love and enjoy the tv show and hope for it to continue on day soon and we would say the magic word spell to help the kids sleep after being scared or from nightmares
There isn't one reply from marvelous videos out of all these comments...does anyone ever get a reply from them? I've tried emailing and commenting and have no clue how to reach them...
Um no just no Not all Visionaries got Power Staves those who didn't get the ability to breath life into machines Virulina didn't ambuse Leoric she disguised herself and attack Arzon after Azon asks his staff the Baron of Knowledge
That theme is still stuck in my head till this day. Even if 80s cartoons were made to sell more toys it was still awesome.

This is one show that should be given a proper and careful reboot.
They should also make it into a film
This classic is still one of my all time favorite cartoons, right up there with Silver Hawks & C.O.P.S! Those 3 would make excellent movies today, if done right. . .🤩👏🏾😉💯
Throw in bionic six all great
The Visionaries cartoon theme and intro was Straight Fire! 🔥 Loved watching every episode weekly as a kid!

Outstanding video I loved this cartoon I still have the figure the one I have has this cool hologram of a dragon!
Loved watching this show and had a few of the toys. Great vid!
You did one for Visionaries ! Sweet !
Whispered secrets of a shattered age .. I summon you renew this show !!
i loved this show alot.. one of my favorites..
I liked IMMEDIATELY. This hits me in the childhood.
I remember we had the toys in the playground. You could rub the front to make the hologram glow.
Loved this cartoon as a kid. I had a couple action figures too.
Visionaries deserves a reboot.
Not when it will butcher it in cgi, or live action or just lazy 3d animation
Great video, love your content! Remember watching Visionaries after school, even had the toy for Witterquick (sp?). I think they also had a comic for a brief time.
Would love for them to do a remake or reboot using the animation and effects that are available now.
I really like this concept. The toys were cool as well
I have memorized to this day the phrases used by the figures i had to activate their staves. a small nerd pride, but I loved this show.
The figures were very articulate. I think the biggest mistake they made with the toys is not selling the figures with their Totem animals.

I enjoyed the cartoons and the toys as kid.
I watch this every year just che my profile picture. this was an epic show
I still remember most of the incantations used for the power staffs! I had nothing better to do at that time! 😎😁😆😅😂🤣
This show was underrated like Inhumanoids.

Yeah got buried in that early time slot like allot of other forgotten cartoons back then. They had cool toys though.
it made waking up worth it
@@Des_Zee Yeah, they did a similar thing with "Captain Power" too. I know many markets aired it extremely early in the morning on the weekends. In mine, they aired Saturday afternoons, which meant it was usually preempted by a sportsball broadcast.
i loved it and wished it was more popular
Likewise. The animation was great, and the story was interesting. Only 13 episodes was such a shock how short it was.
Glad to know that I actually remembered this show
Such an under rated franchise. One of the better quality toy lines and cartoons of the 80s.
Man I remember this cartoon now but forgot about it and I was youth when it came out and miss them old cartoons
I remember this when I was a child in the 90s
I get my kids to watch all these classics on a mornin before school
I like visionaries and it's should come back one day. 😀👍
Some of the names in the narration don't match up with who is on screen, but fun video. It takes me back! I had seven of the figures, but everywhere I went to get the eighth figure, Leoric was sold out. I never got any of the vehicles, but I don't remember seeing them either.
This was brilliant
I remember these toys as a kid, but I couldn't find them in the stores.
Just finished rewatching the series after 18 years
One of my faves!
Haven't seen this cartoon in a while 😊😀
Visionaries deserve a animated reboot with god tier animation and good writing ✍️
I used love watching this show, plus the Bionic Six
I had one of these toys. I never knew where it was from. Somehow the chest piece got burned into my memory🤣
Truly underrated protentional never realized.
Hopefully we get a proper film adaptation from the comics.

The thing i like about this cartoon is the incantation to activate their powers.
By Natures hand, by craft, by art, what once was one now fly apart.
My mother worked at Hasbro before this show was on and I had visionary toys before anybody else.
My fav show ❤️
I loved how starscream is in this show...
I never saw the show but I remember having the toys.
In the 80s cartoons, the villains are always stronger than the heroes ...
Actually, that would have happened in 2012. When a solar storm supposedly was hit earth.
That is the only animated show with impressive dialogue translation to my country's language. Come to think of it, that cartoon show mast have been made by people of deep connections. Referring to literature.
Why is Visionaries the beginning and the ending of The Visionaries Franchise which usually doesn’t happen on fiction, but it happened on Visionaries?
God I feel old I had all the action figures I thought it was amazing at the time
Another one I like was SWAT cats the music was sick. Good comedy good dog fight jet fighting scenes.
Still remeber some of the 'staff spells'
It's like DnD fantasy mixed with science fiction
I used to love this cartoon. The gorilla visionary.
7:48 This is not Leoric, it's Arzon. Get your facts straight.
2:41 sounds like what happened to technology is 3 suns worth of EM Pulse knocking out all electronics
Leoric & the Spectral knights vs dark storm & the darkling lords
Prismos & the visionaries
Mecklin is the bad guy here , playing God
You have got some of the names wrong not all of them got power staffs. Only 4 of each side got Power Staffs good video though this was a Amazing cartoons in the 1980 XMEN Thundercats transformers He Man Visionaries.
Wish they would make it again in now adays would be Amazing
I had the action figure but never had the opportunity to watch the toon
I family love and enjoy the tv show and hope for it to continue on day soon and we would say the magic word spell to help the kids sleep after being scared or from nightmares

Merklin gave the key to Darkstorm not Reekon
how about a video on STARCOM THE US SPACE FORCE (1987) 13 episodes
If it went beyond one season I think Cindaar would have switched to the good side, the guys just a bit simple not evil
I could never understand why merclin helped the bad guys aswell as the good ...
Absolute classic
i remember having one of these toys with the hologram on the chest
nice
Merklin's kinda sus with the way he works with both sides of the conflict
Im down for a A-1 Pictures anime reboot
What about cadilcs and dinaurs
Cryotek challenges them to a fight...
Um no just no
Not all Visionaries got Power Staves those who didn't get the ability to breath life into machines
Virulina didn't ambuse Leoric she disguised herself and attack Arzon after Azon asks his staff the Baron of Knowledge
Yep
How bad and inaccurate synopsis of episodes. , obvs written by someone that hasn't even seen a a single episode.
I really these action figures Lol
The Hebrew version was quite awesome. Especially the theme song.
Sooo much wrong so many missed names, wrong characters, wrong powers, etc 😔
There are paid more than their. Yeah, the desert on Yan EC is no way to live.
This show was so cool still is. Did this guy even watch the show his facts are way off
Leorics staff power sucks and useless
