    This was really cool to watch. I love watching you perform these tracks live, but this breakdown of what you are doing is really neat. Would love to see more of these!

    Hi Stefan! New Patreon subscriber! Thanks for all the great work which is always inspiring! Did you use the Keystep to input your notes or the SQ-64? I have seen you use both in previous videos? Thanks!

    • @StefanTorto
      @StefanTorto  Год назад

      Hi Darren! Thanks for the support : ) I use both of them now days, for this example I used SQ64

    Love your music, very inspirational! I was wondering, when you record your melodies into Model:Cycles do you play by hand on a midi keyboard, step record, or use an external sequencer? Thanks for the tutorial!

    • @StefanTorto
      @StefanTorto  Год назад

      Hi I used an external keyboard and play the notes by hand, sometimes i overlap recordings also :)

    So, I tried following this on a Digitone. Although they're different instruments I think something similar should be doable.
    I can hear a pretty big difference between your demo in the beginning and the final state of the arp. There's another melody on top, and the arp is barely audible (and of cours the drums). What's going on here? When I try to close the filter on the arp, it just disappears, but in your demo there's much more going on in the background. Is it just different automation on the parameters?
    Thank you so much anyways. You make these boxes sing!

    • @StefanTorto
      @StefanTorto  Год назад

      Hi ! I clone the same melody in a second track with different motion recordings, maybe that is what confusing you. Cheers :)

  • @diegob6729
    @diegob6729 Год назад

    But the knob movement is recorded only for the length of the pattern no?

  • @drewdoctor1984
    @drewdoctor1984 Год назад

    Yeah man that piece of crap can not even sequence arps or anything musical you have to use external sequencer or arpeggiator hahaaa
    It’s an over hyped sound modul

    • @StefanTorto
      @StefanTorto  Год назад

      Well, in most cases you have to use a keyboard to play notes , even to your computer DAW or other similar drum machines and units. That doesn’t mean its a crap machine.

    • @XTINCTIONation
      @XTINCTIONation Год назад +1

      It can most definitely sequence arps

    • @d3tuned378
      @d3tuned378 Год назад +1

      lol i think hes complaining because it doesnt come with an arp.
      dude, it's not a keyboard. why would they put an arp on it? It's a sequencer. That's what midi IN is for.
      Dude's complaining that he had to use midi in on a keyboardless groovebox.
      Cry me a river.
