    Hi, This is an awesome build !!! It's given me lots of ideas for a larger "Nomad" build. Could you explain about the sound card / lights setup AC / DC current ? Where does the AC come from , you just have batteries powering the sound card and lights ? Or are you using both ?? I'm confused

    • @InterstellarModeler
      @InterstellarModeler  4 года назад

      Hi Richard, I wish I could give you a better explanation but I have a pretty basic understanding of electronics. I actually was relaying what was told to me by the folks at evandesigns. I was told to solder one of the leads with the anti-reverse directly to the speaker. This is what they had emailed "there is a little "anti reverse" attached to 1 of the speaker leads you will want to leave that on if possible when you attach the new lights. That little thingie translates the AC that the speaker runs on over to DC for the lights" Not sure if this helps. You might want to contact evandesigns for more explanation. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Thanks again for your comment.

    I've started printing my 3D model of this and am gathering the electronic components. I have a couple of questions if you don't mind as I'm trying to replicate your excellent results. 1) what voltage LED's did you use (3V or 5-12V)? 2) 2) Can you provide more info on the "regulator/reverse current protector" you added to connect the light to the speaker for the voice effect. Is this an off the shelf component? Again, thanks for taking the time to help. Keep up the excellent modeling!!
