I find your comments about light and dark incredibly interesting. I almost feel like George didn’t apply the classic light and dark themes to the prequels in the same way he did for the originals. The original 3 are soaked in the classic battle of good and evil. The prequels take that concept and apply it to a time period when things weren’t so simple. They didn’t have the empire which was classically evil… while they had the sith, the sith were in my mind not the nail in the coffin. The sith still have a chance to redeem themselves, while the empire is created by a sith who has gone to the farthest depths and is not redeemable. Idk, just my take… very interesting topic.

I worked on the Starcruiser. I don’t care for the sequels at all but I can say it was a very incredible and unique experience. The joy and love that most of the people had who went and did it, truly blew my mind. But are there things I would have done differently, absolutely! But I do think it was amazing and I loved every second. I wish there was a way for everyone to see it and experience it for themselves because I promise most people’s opinions would change and actually appreciate it.
P.s I’m a big fan!
I would clarify that the message of Star Wars is simple in that it speaks to are common humanity that we all intrinsically know. Its plotting can be more complex.
But Disney Star Wars lost the message and really has nothing to say other than plot, cameo or tease something we will probably never see. Or as Robert Meyer Burnett more eloquently says, “ Star Wars can not get its head out of its own ass.”

I think this show being make or break for Star Wars is a bit inaccurate. Star Wars can never be truly broken, despite that some may wish it so. However, the part of the fandom that is still hoping to get good Star Wars very well could end up broken by this show.
The breaking already happened. Star Wars maybe good again but it will never again be the King of Franchisees again.

Personally I don’t think Sony would do any better than Disney with Star Wars. Yeah we’d get a lot of content but in the long run it would feel like Disney Star Wars, over saturated & just a “big googly glob mess”. But I do like the idea of trading some properties to get Spider-Man under Marvel it’s just that I believe Kevin Fiege wants all his toys under 1 umbrella to enhance the legacy of Himself as a producer/president & For the fans because if he has all the properties the stories he can do are endless. The trade offer is still solid idea though!
