Adding the flesh color is not really necessary. The 4 color process (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black plus White if needed) is supposed to make all the colors you see. Adding flesh on top of the yellow and red halftones just defeats the purpose of setting each screen's dots to a specific angle to blend the colors. Does it look good? Yeah, but it would have looked better with much less or no spot flesh color in the image. Her body would have looked more 3-dimensional if you hadn't covered up all the halftone. I think I just realized why you wanted to use the flesh. The Magenta over time becomes overpowering as you print more and more images. If unchecked she'll start to look sunburnt or cooked like a lobster so you're using the flesh to cover that up. The real way to fix that is to keep your halftone percentages lower than you would think they should be and put the Magenta on a 305. Unfortunately, you're using a manual press so printing with a 305 can be very difficult to do.

1 part art. 1 part science. 1 part years of experience thru trial and error. Add a dash of do or die and “get” 4 color process. Too many tricks of the trade to mention. Some say it’s a dying art/trade. Not so much in fabrics but more like signage and electronics. I’m retired after 45 years in the trade and now dealing with carpal tunnel and respiratory issue’s from my craft.

well dang, that was super cool. I just got a basic screen printing kit for Christmas and it's neat to see what's ultimately possible!
