I recall in 1980s at Rick’s Cabaret I met Dusty Billy and Frank but they weren’t there for anything but the publicity and they talked about their families and wives all the time. They actually helped out several girls who had hardships and they met my husband. They were great guys.
I remember that dummy falling from the top of the stage at 7:40. LOL There's a story behind it but I don't remember. One of the greatest concerts I've ever seen. 16 years old.
The tude appearance is just pure filth. I remember seeing that at the time and thinking hoe cool as hell they looked. And sounded and years later as a guitarist just hearing that tone is mind blowing and gives me a hard on!
This footage comes from a French documentary by “Houba Houba”. You can find it here on RUclips. The only issue is that on the documentary the audio did not sync up to the footage so I tried to fix that. There’s also a recording of Gimme All Your Lovin’ from this show that I have posted. I believe this audio is also straight from the soundboard as the sound is quite dry and the crowd is barely audible. I believe that this is some of the only footage available of the Eliminator tour so it is nice to have. Sadly I do not have any more footage from this show, it most likely is sitting in a vault somewhere. Thanks for watching!
LOL, I was at this show! That was my fist time seeing ZZ Top live. Joan Jett was the opening act, and she was treated pretty bad by this crowd - I felt kinda bad for her.
They were absolutely brilliant in the 70s 80s. Early 90s.They went a little stale after that 4 year's ago a promice of a new album. Instead we get another greatest hits.
I have to say I love them Texas boys in their jeans and cowboy hats. I'm from the 70's, I was blessed to hear the best rock n roll.
The last tour where they wore jeans and cowboy hats.
Afterburner going forward was the ZZ Top that was sleek and modern. I love both eras

This is what happens when you have an 11/10 on chemistry with each other
I think I was there
Billy has that Darth Vader right hand. Built-in metronome with electro-boosted DuraPlazz digitry.
They were realy Flying that night ! Bill's voice sure got low over the years
#TheSummit
ZZ Top had their stage moves down. I guess it was a carry over from their Moving Sidewalks days. . .
Eliminator tour?
Yes, this show is from the 1983 Eliminator Tour. By this point, the album would’ve been out for a little over 6 months.
This footage is fantastic. Is there a way I can messages you to discuss? Really cool of you to post this, thank you
