85p per kWh is the (nearly) most expensive rate in the UK. Tesla Superchargers that are open to all EVs would be half that in their cheap rate - even cheaper if you take out a monthly membership. At 85p that makes an EV a similar price per mile as an ICE car. However charging at home for 7p per kWh overnight is about 2p per mile. Good review of the Torres, not seen one before.

@@sir-chat-a-lot yeah that was a bit pricey, there were 2 other public chargers near me but both pod point, they were 45p per kWh but they required a charging cable which I didn't have with the Torres EVX.
Thank you 🙂 it certainly is a different option design wise. I charged it in this video following a little road trip covering 150 miles which the video for that is on the Channel and I have my full review coming this weekend 😀. Thanks for watching

Australia here: our most expensive i have seen here in Queensland is about 30p per kw equivalent pricing. At home over night on my plan is about 4p per kw ($0.08 Au). I have been driving electric for 11 years and only charged outside 5 times. 3 just to test them. So in the long run, even paying the high price of 85p once in a while would be even out, so driving electric is still very economical the important thing is to get a good EV plan. mine for example offers free electricity between 11am and 2pm because Australia has so much solar power on house roofs.

@@xiaowei1 That's very interesting, it seems like the charging network is cheaper in Australia. That's a good thing for the free electricity too. Thanks for watching
