    18mpg for me, mostly urban. Amazing car for the price, and definitely a drivers car. I dont really get the torque steer though but i thinks that due to a diff mod maybe, it feels around 300bhp and has a decat but its still resonated so not dead loud but sounds brilliant

    Australia here: our most expensive i have seen here in Queensland is about 30p per kw equivalent pricing. At home over night on my plan is about 4p per kw ($0.08 Au). I have been driving electric for 11 years and only charged outside 5 times. 3 just to test them. So in the long run, even paying the high price of 85p once in a while would be even out, so driving electric is still very economical the important thing is to get a good EV plan. mine for example offers free electricity between 11am and 2pm because Australia has so much solar power on house roofs.

      @@xiaowei1 That's very interesting, it seems like the charging network is cheaper in Australia. That's a good thing for the free electricity too. Thanks for watching

    The public chargers I use most are Instavolt. But that is not because they are a great deal. I use them because they are pretty reliable, still have CHAdeMO, which my ageing van needs, but mostly because in East Yorkshire where I live they have put in most of the chargers. There are some BP pulse but I find them very unreliable and Pod Point which I will use in preference to Instavolt but there aren't many of them where i need them. If you find yourself charging away from home often, for whatever reason, it's worth a few minutes looking at Zap Map to see what is available in your area. While it's sort of fun and reassuring watching it the first few times, it's best to be charging while you're doing something else.

    • @pittmotoring
      @pittmotoring 8 дней назад

      I have heard they are reliable, I found them very easy to use too. Oh fellow Yorkshire 🙌🏻 I'm based in Scarborough. I had planned to use a pod point at our local tesco and do a shop whilst it charged but it required a cable which I didn't get with the car from KGM. Thanks for watching.

  • @sir-chat-a-lot
    @sir-chat-a-lot 9 дней назад

    85p per kWh is the (nearly) most expensive rate in the UK. Tesla Superchargers that are open to all EVs would be half that in their cheap rate - even cheaper if you take out a monthly membership. At 85p that makes an EV a similar price per mile as an ICE car. However charging at home for 7p per kWh overnight is about 2p per mile. Good review of the Torres, not seen one before.

    • @pittmotoring
      @pittmotoring 9 дней назад

      @@sir-chat-a-lot yeah that was a bit pricey, there were 2 other public chargers near me but both pod point, they were 45p per kWh but they required a charging cable which I didn't have with the Torres EVX. Thank you 🙂 it certainly is a different option design wise. I charged it in this video following a little road trip covering 150 miles which the video for that is on the Channel and I have my full review coming this weekend 😀. Thanks for watching

      @@robingrotendorst669 it actually surprised me if I'm honest. I had had the Petrol Torres for the week before and was expecting it the ride quality to be similar to that but it actually wasn't, I found the EVX to be smoother and actually quieter, I think more sound deadening had been used. The interior was good but my personal preference is I don't like the climate controls within the Infotainment. Overall though it was great, very practical and comfortable. I have my full review of the Torres EVX coming this weekend as well as a little vlog charging the car at a local public charger.

    Hi from Australia, have purchased another CRZ (2014 model, 46,000 kilometres, one owner). Traded the last one five years ago on a Civic type R(2020 update) tenth generation which I found became an ordeal to get in&out of and the ride became a bit much while recovering from cancer treatments. The last car was a Mazda 3 which we were able to sell to release some cash and purchase another CRZ. On reacquaintance the CRZ is a far more enjoyable drive and the so-called lack of power is a myth. The handling is very balanced, steering direct, doesn’t need much braking as the regenerative setting sets up the car in bends or roundabouts and allows it to get through with a higher speed without having to rev the engine much beyond 3500-4000rpm. The cvt transmission allows relaxed driving and really doesn’t need manual shifting as it gathers speed above walking pace rapidly without having to balance clutch and brakes. Traffic light standing starts are not really relevant in normal driving wheras a smooth line is always faster and doesn’t attract police attention or cause accidents. The type R never felt special until at ridiculous speeds. True you could revel in the no slack steering and brakes and a precise gearbox but you would be noticing how badly the road is under you ( constant vibration and noise). The CRZ allows full deployment of the available power and pretty much runs away from most cars on the bends on a local “highway “that starts at sea level and rises over 600 metres on a 30 kilometre stretch. Ten years old, doesn’t rattle or squeak and achieves 50 mpg(imperial)around town, mid fifties on the highway. Brilliant mix. Cheers.

      Brilliant 👏🏻, firstly I hope things are well for you health wise in your recovery. The CRZ is a fun car, it's one I've been looking at purchasing at some point for a Daily driver/fun project car for myself.

    A good and realistic review, thanks! I'd just like to point out that you drove in B-mode,which is meant for regenerative braking down steeper hills rather than D-mode which is better for just tootling around and normal driving. I have the September 2022 version and regularly get a range of over 450-500 miles per tankful through mixed driving conditions, city, countryside and motorway (which eats into the range). Though I live in an urban area with a lot of hills I often get over 80 mpg if my journeys are mostly urban, sometimes comfortably over 100 mpg. The last time I got such fuel economy was on my 49 cc Honda Express (3 hp?) moped that I had as a youngster! It's a superb car to drive.

    Bought my 5.7L HEMI 4x4 Limited in 2006. Still use it everyday, got 211,000 miles. Had major transmission once ($3,000 USD) in 2018, replaced suspension in 2020 (wear and tear over the years) and upgraded break discs. No other major problems. I love it and will never sell it!

    I bought a 2007, 3.7L in 2012 and love it. The major cost was having to replace the engine in 2018 ($1,700); and outside of that only the alternator, belt and battery replacement needed. I don't want another car, and hope to keep it for life. It's the size and capacity to carry alot that I really like.

    Hello, I live in Germany, I'm looking to buy a jeep like the video but with 240 thousand km. The car is exactly the same as the video, very beautiful. I had the opportunity to drive and everything is fine. But I'm worried about the mileage being a little high. In your opinion, is it worth buying, are these engines reliable, what are the pros and cons of this machine? Car 2006

      150k miles for a diesel is pretty common, I believe they use a Mercedes engine for the Diesel models. I would make sure to check the Cars service history, that is a good indication if it has been looked after well or not, check reciepts/invoices for any work carried out. That may help you with a decision. But with any older car, they could have issues or issues later in ownership. I hope this helps, and good luck in your search for a Commander

      Thank you, great to hear you enjoyed it. some say it lost what it was good at compared to the na and nb mx5, yes it was heavier but its still a great all round little sports car.

    Even the hatchback has a generous boot space and excellent rear leg room.

      It does, they're actually both really practical variants especially as a choice for a family car.
