Great review! I especially appreciate seeing the statistics chart. I have a similar club head speed as you. Can you please tell me what shaft is in the irons? Make and flex. Thank you, Sir.
I’d be really curious to see how these stack up against the new PXG T irons. Seems like they might fit in the same sort of category of players’ irons with some added ball speed and forgiveness - not as demanding as one-piece CBs, but not quite players’ distance irons, either.
Great review! I currently play the Apex ‘16 and noticed these new Apex Pros have a much weaker loft. Will a regular Apex be released? Also, since the Apex Pro is hollow cavity, will Callaway Rogue ST Pro still be in the lineup with a new release or discontinued? I need the added distance but don’t want to go Paradym as those lofts are way too strong and lower spin.
@@TheAverageGolfer Thanks so much. If the Apex STD looks as nice as these Apex Pros, I think it could be a perfect blended set with some added distance. Can’t wait to see more of your head to heads with the Apex vs Titleist T Series vs P790s vs Srixon ZX5. So many outstanding options for us average golfers! Keep up the great work.
@@victorshu6091Callaway has always made quality irons, the apex is no different from the diablo tour line with the carpenter face and forged head. that said it will be hard pressed to compete with TM offerings, TM has priced their irons super aggressive, their web orders are incredibly efficient - unlike Mizuno :(. not sure why Callaway has resorted to a premium pricing model for the new Apex line. $4$ - why would anyone want to get Callaway irons instead of Titleist? and if you were a on a budget, TM and Srixon have better offerings.
What clubs do you normally use? I'm curious what you're comparing when you tell us what you average with your other normal club(s). I had been using Paradym irons when I tried the Apex Pro for comparison. For me there was an even more significant difference in iron carry distance. (20-30 yards shorter with the Apex Pro than the Paradym). I was limited in shaft options during testing of the Pros, and with other shaft options maybe I would have seen an improvement in distance. Besides the hollow body only being available in the 5 iron and longer I find it odd that they also only put the microspheres in the longer clubs as well. Like you I did like the feel in the irons, and from a looks department I like the thinner top line and less offset of the Apex models over the Paradym. Many of the other manufacturers of hollow body irons usually have the technology through the 7 iron if not the entire set. I'm sure there was a reason why they stopped the technology at the 5 iron...it just seems odd when compared to the rest of the iron market. You liked the irons, but would you switch them out for what you currently play?
Just revisiting this. What you've outlined here is actually incorrect for these irons. All irons in the set are hollow body with urethane microspheres. The difference with the 3-5 irons is that they use 455 Face Cup on the face instead of the 1025 carbon steel used in the 6-AW. Nothing else changes except for the material used on the face.
@@daemonblackfyre7171 Incorrect. Instead of believing some random website by some clueless individual call or email Callaway and ask them. They will tell you microspheres are only in the 3i-7i, and the cupface (which is the hollow body feature) is only in the 3i-5i. Like a lot of their and other companies irons they say they stop tech at the 7i because the "pros" say they don't want too much distance out of their short irons. The problem with that is few pros are playing the model irons where the tech stops, and most amateurs who significantly mishit off the face get a distance gap between the tech 7i and non tech 8i. The last big name company to put tech in the entire iron set was Adams Golf XTD irons (when both them and Talormade (RSI) first started putting slots in the sole of irons). Not long after that Taylormade/Adidas bought out Adams Golf (and Adam's patents).
For the money you want these to be perfect, I've seen a couple of reviews where the black finish is scratched and shows silver below, different to a patina. Like you I really like the other Apex looks but don't like the look of the tiF. Perhaps black with a silver bag and black screws. It doesn't look like any of the others so not really Apex family. A better players club, between 200 and Pro. I really like to look of the other apex and the new Gen7 PXG's. Where PXG get the nod for me is I'm a big Steelfiber fan and there an OTS option with PXG. (though I'd prefer SF80 and the option 70,90,110!.) Be nice to see a some head to head's.
Enjoy most reviews but really enjoyed the travel and reviews combined....but finding most of the stuff a bit samey lately....looking forward to when you start moving around a bit more and give the van a work out
Bought a set after watching this video. Great review! They are awesome irons in multiple areas for sure. Thank you!

Andy you said 1st Hollow body club in Apex range but my Apex Pro 21 irons are hollow bodied, and they feel and sound great
Yes my apologies what I should have added to that sentence that it had been built with a forged face and 1025 forged body for the first time 👍
I’m in the Apex Pro 21’s they went for a completely different feel for these

Thanks. There will be a new Apex Std just not sure when. The ST pro isn’t forged body and assume it will continue as a far different price point

Ive never found a hollow body that I liked because Im used to forged feel. But man these sound good. Cant wait to demo these and the CB.
The cb is full forged I believe
I started last year with hollow body can’t do it bro forged all the way!

Nice review. Looking forward to how this new lineup stacks against PXG and the new Titleist line. Splitting hairs
I think I heard a callaway rep on a club champion video say there isn’t a standard anymore, this “pro” takes the place of the old standard
I know that is incorrect 👍
What is that quarterzip? Love the look
Why did the club you showed has 23 on the back and not 24?
Great review!!
I had a club fitting…the numbers just don’t lie.

How do the new Apex Pros compare to the new Taylormade P770?
I haven’t played them side by side but I would say very similar maybe the Apex has a better sound and feel
Been gaming Apex TCB for 3 years now. Is there a replacement for those? Is so which one. Great video.
I think the Apex CB is the replacement?
@@TheAverageGolfer thank you!
Good review Andy. When do you think the standard and DCB will be released? I'm an old fart and need some distance. I play the Apex21 DCBs now.
Must admit I was surprised they hadn’t been part of this release, assume can’t be far off
Contact for these clubs sounds really soft and buttery
How do they compare to T150?
A good comparison that needs some consideration
Looks like they are taking cues from PXG. Thank You for your reviews.
Looking forwards to APEX DCB launch.....can't wait
Be interesting to see when they are coming
@@TheAverageGolferdefinitely I've gamed the Apex 21 dcb and love them, sound feel forgiveness and looks
@@TheAverageGolfer hope they do bring some out, can't find any info on them maybe they only coming out with the pro line-up
There will be no new dcb

your may lack flexibility (maybe some distance) but you are NOT an average golfer. Where it counts(at impact) you are very good.
These look winners 🎉
Wish I were good enough to hit these..
I’m a long time Apex fan but unfortunately I don’t like the look of these 2023 irons.
Your videos are captivating. Collab and conjure more creativity?
Thanks, collab with who?
Is this their attempt to copy PXG?
I like the look of these callaway t100’s
