  • Very cool place. We were thinking there's probably a good trip for the AA channel to be had there.
    The exact place we went to was Indian Point, you can see it here: www.google.com/maps/place/Gar...
    At the very end I was listening to a livestream on the youtube channel my life in gaming. I can't remember what I was laughing at now though.
    Vlogs are still a bit behind, but I've been filming every day, so they're coming!

    Shawnee is beautiful. Hope that you guys will do an AA episode there. At 2:35, I was half expecting to hear a voiceover from the narrator to give more information about the hickory nut. 😂

      Haha, yeah that would have been the exact spot narration would have chimed in

    At the 6:02 mark you were standing at a spot I have camped at before 3.5 years ago, Shawnee NF is awesome.

    LOL corgis are like that... Rhys got all loud from just hearing that corg's bark. Napoleon complex :) :)

      At one point on the hike I was practically having to sit on her to keep her from freaking out about a passing dog.

    • @Merbydoo

      That's definitely Rhys too. Dogs and other people. Sometimes I have to just carry him down the trail. He does best with his backpack on, he thinks he's important then. On the other hand, if he hears coyotes at night in the tent, he barks ferociously and then swiftly retreats into the bottom of our sleeping bag ;)

      Meredyth McL. Hahaha where do I get a corgi backpack?

    • @Merbydoo
      @Merbydoo 7 лет назад

      I know I got it off Amazon, but it was so many years ago I don't think they make it anymore... so I can't find it (for our first corgi... probably back in 2008?) . :/ Your pup already wears a harness so the transition will be easier for her, but try it with a t-shirt under the back pack for chafing and just a few treats in the compartments at first. Slowly start to add more weight each hike. Rhys now carries his own platypus of water, food, treats, water bowl and dog booties.
      Just measure her chest, they're really weird to size. Rhys is a Cardigan so we get him a medium or large, but as a Pem she'll probably need a small or medium.
      Here's a link to the one I'm thinking of upgrading to: www.amazon.com/MY-PET-Reflective-Accessories-Waterproof/dp/B01J4VSJ8U/ref=sr_1_60?rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1490378670&sr=8-60&keywords=dog%2Bbackpack&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011&th=1

    Okay I think you need to bring Bryan & Andrew here for a full movie - the rocky landscape is pretty cool!

    Enchanted Rock is not far from us. It was cool to hear him talk about it. When you get here we will show it to you. It's mystical and it has powers. The granite absorbs heat all day and at night the heat releases causing the rock to grumble and moan. It's unbelievable. So cool to hear him say that. We have Enchanted Rock videos on our channel. Check em out. Good vlog Robbs!

    Hey Robby. I was just hiking there today and it's really neat to watch this video seeing you exploring the same place. I love going to Garden of the Gods. If AA wants to come check out Shawnee, let me know! My wife and I can host you guys and show you around all the great places here. There is also Inspiration Point, Pamona Natural Bridge, Little Grand Canyon, Stone Face, Bell Smith Springs, Burden Falls, Ferne Clyffe, and sooo many more places in Shawnee. Let me know!

      Oh man, that would be great, thank you! I will almost certainly forget, but I will put this in our little location document thing.

      If you do hike in this area though, I recommend not doing it in the middle of the summer. It gets suuuper humid and it's not very fun. I think ya'll figured that out when you came for the solar eclipse lol. It is extremely beautiful and more enjoyable to hike in the fall here. Love watching y'alls adventures!!

    The thumbnail somehow remind me of 127 hours... lol. Great location by the way and the cave was interesting. Do bears roam around the area though?

    • @RobbyHuang
      @RobbyHuang  7 лет назад

      I still need to see that movie at some point. And there are probably bears there, very rare though I'm sure.

      Robby Huang although it's designed for more of the casual style camping trip. Not practical for hikes.

    Me, my wife, and two kids did our very first backpacking trip at Shawnee, inspired by Adventure Archives. 3:09 looks like the site we picked to stay the night. It was an awesome experience and we're looking into where we will go next.
