I personally have a lot of fun watching since 2012-13. It slowly declined and Blizzard never attempted any significant improvements or changes. Hopefully the new one from Frost Giant called Stormgate takes off.

The game is still fun to some people out there, and would be a better attraction if the developer has a good vision and commit to it. Just look at AoE2, the game has been out for 20+ years, even longer than SC2, and yet it still has an espost scene and support. Thats because the game developer CARES about making it better with constant development/patches/changes over the years. We are at the current states, in large part because Blizzard dropped the ball.

Gyuri is married now and they may have decided cutting Gyuri was just one more way to cut costs (on top of only having offline matches starting with RO4, and other things they may have cut etc. etc.). Just smaller budget man, they are trying something to see if they can get it to work and if they get enough support. Totally not backed with any evidence, it's totally guessing. Except Gyuri being married, I believe that is factual.
@@helloken I don't think it had anything to do with her being married, just there's very little point in having her there as an interviewer if they're only going to play in the studio once a season. Caster Park already has plenty of experience being an interviewer on top of being a caster, so if they're downsizing so much it makes sense to just have him do both rather than retaining Gyuri as well.

the first couple jokes about the robot voice were warranted but the more he talks about it the more i suspect tasteless is legitimately frightened by the scary robot man
i almost always avoid the comments till after im done watching a starleague vid , but this time i did happen to look at the comments before finishing the video , and i am super glad i did , because i saw lots of comments mentioning how insane the last game was , which gave me anticipation for it and MAN is that ever paying off right now i also see many comments discussing it's dying esport status thanks to blizard(activision) , such a shame , sc2 is such a great game , i don't want to see the second hardest game in the world die out

If you mean actual replay files, it seems like for this season Afreeca is giving replays as part of the donator perks. If you just mean VODs, Afreeca and ESL upload all their games to their RUclips channels.
First game made Maru realized he can't beat Byun in a straight up micro game so he exploited the latter's weak macro with his superior macro. The window mine was the beginning of Byun's demise.
I think its just the timing, BW came out at the right time as an eposrt for the KR scence and was beloved since. SC2 came out as an "adopted" child that was not loved as much and then we have the match fixing scandal that alienate people from it even more.
Cultural inertia, the popular esport stays popular and continues to attract new talent. While SC2 never overtook BW in Korea it was doing okay until the match fixing scandal totally neutered the Korean SC2 scene and many big orgs and sponsors pulled out entirely. After that is another form of inertia, potential newcomers will see the blood in the water of Korean SC2 and know that's a less secure career path, and Blizzard didn't really do much to dissuade that either.
honestly that last game is just medivac abuse on prime exhibit. Poor DRG had no business being dragged through the mud by a 2 base all in terran that got cold feet even when he saw the panic spine.
