Props to Reynor for heading out to korea again, it takes guts to do that. I really hope he does not give up. It's apparent he needs a coach/prep help because he is a great player and is really not used to the korean style prep tourneys and just laddering does not help him get to that next level that is needed for prep in GSL. I hope this doesn't get into his head, we all know he is a great player.

"Just" qualifying for Code S round of 16 is enough to say he's one of the best players in the world (as if it wasn't already clear). GSL hits different tho.

If reynor is going out 0-4 in GSL to hero and gumiho (not even peak Korean sc2 IMO) I think it proves that serral needs to win a GSL to prove he's goat. In other words, there truly is no conclusive goat in sc2

The thing is Serral had won multiple GSL vs the world in Korea already, that’s why Serral don’t want to come to Korea to compete in GSL anymore. I mean to be honest with you it’s not even worth it. You have to live in Korea for 2 months, and you win only 3000usd for being GSL champion? Im sorry but GSL is not as big as before anymore. It’s still very competitive and with Zerg nerfted and everything you probably right, serral will have a hard time but for 3k usd only? Nah

Who does Serral need to prove it to though? The Korean pros all think he's the best, the non-Korean pros think he's the best. The only people who don't are Artosis, Mizenhauer (the guy who made the GOAT list, with "Maru fan" listed in his TL bio lmao), and a minor group of Redditors who think GSL is the equivalent of the Holy Bible or something

Honestly Broodlords weren't the correct endgame unit to make, in any case. Lurkers, or even just more infestors would've been a better investment. I get it though- in the heat of the moment, he needed something to 'clinch' the deal, cyclones are just a wonky case of 'not sure what is good to make against'.

I feel so BAD for REYNOR. Forzaaa Reynor sei un grandeeee!!
In the second game he really deserved to win but he made a fatal mistake: Brood Lords.
If he had gone hydras / lurkers and nydus he would have won easy. He also was too nervous.
So many zergs forget to use some amazing tools like nydus.
But I also feel that with the new stupid Blizzard changes, Zergs are struggling in both early and late game.
Look at game 2, Gumiho was down almost 30 workers, lost so much but :
"hey I am F....g terran what do I care!! I just launch 50 Mules in 3 seconds and guess what??
I eat more minerals than your 80 drones! meanwhile I'll have Non stop scans"

It is hilarious to see the butthurt Serral fanboys show up to this video and attack anyone who thinks he isn't somehow the best SC2 player of all time because *Reynor* lost in GSL. (Shoutout to soundofsilence and everyone upvoting him, fully expecting him to reply here).
Literally no foreigner has ever won GSL in the entire time it has existed (14 years), and now suddenly people think it would be easy just because things have changed on the international scale to some extent?
Korea is a fortress, you have to conquer it through repeated attacks. A Korean getting a Royal Road is already rare enough, let alone a foreigner. If Reynor pulled it off here, he would actually be possibly the strongest contender for GOAT, or at least best player in the LOTV era.
I actually like Reynor and think he's extremely skilled and is the equal, if not greater, than a lot of these players but you would have to be hopped up on max foreigner hype to think he would've just won GSL like it was just another European tournament. I don't know what the Stateless were thinking when they thought Reynor would win the whole thing without even seeing him win a single game first, I'm guessing they felt they had to hype him up because foreigner hype and marketing, or Tasteless somehow forgot that he was casting GSL (State I can understand since he's comparatively less experienced to casting and seems to be pretty "new-generation" with regards to his opinions).
(On the note about butthurt foreigner fans, its funny because these same foreigner fans were probably the same ones complaining the entire time that koreans were dominating the game until Serral and Reynor finally won 2 Blizzcon world championships... out of a total of 9 that existed and suddenly they were the greatest of all time, even though just SoS on his own won the same number of blizzcons as both of them combined, but whatever).
Its like people magically forgot that Korea is different from the rest of the world, its unseemly and embarrassing.

I'd love to see Serral in GSL as well. Don't think "scared" is the case though. Or at least shouldn't be. More like doesn't want to waste time spending the required month (or is it two?) in Korea. I mean guy wins a lot playing at home (European based tournaments), he doesn't need to go anywhere.
