you remember Jūshirō Ukitake (the guy whose name you forgot because he doesn't appear often) forbade Kyōraku from using his bankai because it was very dangerous for everyone. Can't wait to see the new Captain Commander of the Gotei 13 in action.
Neel if you can't remember, Ichibei Zanpakuto is the first one to ever attain Bankai, he literally says it's been around before Bankai word even existed.

@@TheYoungMindz now when I look again, I think they are just repeating whatever Bankai has been shown on Cour 1 and 2, so Mayuri's Bankai was not shown (Ichigo's was not shown either as he didn't really show us his Bankai release, he just straight away released it off screen while Quilge was distracted)

Yes they will be 4 total parts. Part 3 looks like it’ll cover about as much as part 4, around 40 manga chapters. Shunsui saying “bankai” is probably in the final episode of part 3 unless they rearrange fights.
