- Powerscaling: That's kind of contentious. The manga was terribly wishy washy about that detail - the only time we see that rule played straight was the early, EARLY Ichigo vs. Kenpachi fight. Every other time it's been brought up there were major mitigating factors that throw it into question (for instance, Soi Fon using her shikai on Aizen, but Aizen was using Kyoka Suigetsu, so we don't know if Soi Fon even so much as touched him), especially in light of the number of times sneak attacks or special abilities having been shown *breaking* that rule outright (flashback Noita vs. Nel, bankai Gin blowing a hole in Butterflyzen's chest, Wonderweiss affecting Yamamoto, etc.). Honestly, I don't think that's even really a rule - at least not in the way the fandom interprets it. That is to say - relative levels of spiritual pressure was probably something Kubo never really tracked in his narrative and it was just a thrown in detail to show that people not in the nebulous level of 'captain' can't hurt 'captains'.

Ichigo using bankai would be ridiculous overkill in this scenario. He was going easy on the enemies here, not going for lethal wounds, and activating bankai is pretty much the opposite of that. Also, this is what happens when Orihime runs out of clothes on a mission and need to get something new to wear from Urahara.

Yeah the layers would repair themselves as ichigo was falling but since he did it in less than 12 hours there was no time. They said 6000 seconds which is an hour and 40 minutes for it to fully repair. Ichigo rushing kinda screwed everything up

"Yuhabaha" is the japanese pronunciation. It just sounds a bit weird to pronounce all non-japanese names (like Chad) in English, except for Yhwach. They don't say "Chad" either, they say "Chado", but everyone still calls him "Chad" in English because that's how you pronounce it in that language.
I remember in elementary school the teachers would say, "If you don't know how to say a word, sound it out." That absolutely does not work with "Yhwach." 😅
