You said you don’t know much about Sims lore but your instincts to not like Mortimer Goth are pretty on point. He actually gets remarried to one of the women (the Caliente sisters) that is a suspect in Bella disappearance in older Sims games.

Ok so to be fair, I think Mortimer is not bad, he is just misunderstood, I think Bella is always sad because she was previously abducted by Aliens, and rumour has it the Calientes had something to do with it. Nancy should be the worst, she is a crime lord, hence owning all of the sims universe lol, and ironically Geoffrey works in law enforcement, I think she married him to use him for intel 🤣Johny Zest is a Landgraab as well, but left the family to pursue his own path. My favourite sim is Bob Pancakes, I root for him and Eliza to fix things.
