- Tim River to Rosebary Lake camping with our dog. We show how to cut down a tree (that is dead standing) and find the best firewood, we get lost and cant find our campsite! How to do a bear hang. We cook steak on the coals, bacon BLT's and have a sweet beach camp site. Beautiful fall colours in Ontario, Canada.
Fall Backcountry Canoe Camping in Algonquin Park Sept 24-26 2020
Best short canoe trip, 3 days in the backcountry.
Loved the "journey"....great job all around.....!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Emma was so gentle with the frog😂 Beautiful morning with all that colour!🍁Fall is arguably the best time to trip🏕🍂
I think she was partly afraid of that frog lol we agree - fall is our fav! 🍂🧡
Beautiful trip. Love how you paddle silently.
Thank you Mark, we try to keep the noise down and appreciate the quiet ♥️
Emma is such a good dog! Love your videos
Thanks so much Cherie, she’s a sweetheart ♥️
Aww, what a big happy chomper! Gorgeous colours and scenery.
Thank you so much! Thank you for watching 😊
I am from Iowa, and yes no one really camps, but they do have a lot of chickens I really enjoy your adventures.
Haha thanks Jonathan, we really enjoy those Iowa eggs! Thanks for coming along on the adventures 😊
Yes 👏 10/10 on the 🐻 bear bag hang.
Ah James was happy to hear this. He gives himself a 9/10 due to the branch being dead.. he’s tough 😂 Thanks so much for watching Tina!
Not a bad time of year for a canoe trip! Hopefully things will be back to normal by then this year. Cheers TCC
Fall is the best time for a camping trip for sure! Waiting waiting waiting!!
Thank you. Beautiful!
Love that you enjoyed it. See you on the next ones! 😉
Cool 😊 Beans,
Looking forward to your videos
Be safe & hope you both, all 3 have a fantastic trip(s)
Jeffrey
Amazing video, my friend! Nice camping! The sounds of nature are so calming.. Enjoyed watching. Cheers from Russia fellas , and welcome to my channel about bushcraft skills and hacks! Kind regards, Yuriy!
Thanks so much Yuriy! We will check it out 😄🤗
Great video--well, all of them are, and I hope your channel continues to gain subscribers. Question re: using lake water to wash and rinse the dishes, especially the rinse--any worries up there about bacteria or organisms in the water that would be left on the camp dishes after rinsing them? Where I live in central Arizona it is scalding hot for 6 months of the year, and you'd never want to do that with lake water around here (unless you boiled it first!). Thanks and keep 'em coming--I have had 3 goldens in my life, so seeing Emma is always great!
Thanks so much! We often will do a final quick rinse with the filtered drinking water after all soap is rinsed off.
I love your videos. I really like your style. Thank you thank you for showing leave no trace info. Covid has caused a severe influx of folks who have no idea what it means to travel through wilderness lightly.
When you guys ran into those spruce boughs, i started feeling judgey, but I stopped myself. My buddy and I went backpacking couple weekends ago up in vermont. Low was supposed to be 27 F both nights and no precip. First day out there it snowed two inches and temps dropped to 19 F the first night. All i had was my free soldier tarp from Amazon which I pitched in a steep a frame between two trees and had to cut some boughs with my corona saw to seal off the windy end. I was taking in snow onto my bag so I kinda had too. I just wonder how much longer parks like algonquian and bwca can take so much traffic before permits cost money and no more big campfires only twig stoves allowed. Again, thank you for exhibiting good stewardship of the land. Peace be with you 3!
You passed by our house :)
Ohhh we did? On the drive?
Nice video, beautiful pup! Could you speak justa little louder? Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks so much! Yes we need to figure out the audio. The quiet always makes us speak quieter, and we forget the mic doesn’t pic it up that well. 😕
Hi guys, do you have any upcoming summer excursions planned ?
Hi Jeffrey, for sure! We’re just on our way back from a 5 day trip in the northern part of Algonquin and we have a 7 day trip planned to another northern portion of Algonquin. We may change it up and also do another park or area of Ontario, plus fall is our fav so we’ll be sure to do a fall trip as well. We will post videos here! :)
Love your videos. I am doing a fall trip in Algonquin park this year as well as my usual summer trip. I am most interested in people's food choices. Did you actually carry in eggs to make those amazing looking bagel sandwiches?
Thanks so much Maurice! Fall camping is the best. No, we brought OvaEasy Egg Crystals, they are awesome! Highly recommend, much easier than brining eggs with no worry they will spoil. We pair them with ready crisp bacon, then some sliced tomato and mayo packets from a fast food takeout restaurant👌 could add lettuce for a true B.E.L.T.
eggs from a farm don't need refrigeration. we have a hard case that holds 6 and 12 eggs to bring in. we always bring in farm eggs and they've never spoiled even 10 days in.
@@CLOCKWOrk53 Great tip! Thanks
