Hi Steve! Congratulation to Charlie's birthday! I installed the EMGs years ago and put the battery between the springs which makes a battery change pretty easy. There are also discussions about an 18V mod which I never tried. If you do so please let us know. Thanks for sharing that emotional moment.
I saw a 54 2nd maybe an early 60s reissue this month at the guitar center and they also had some modern 70th anniversary strats in the ultra line with. Unique finishes I believe may be limited editions that fetch upwards of $3000 us
All sounds pretty good to me. I love the Gilmour Strat - which is essentially a '57 - but I choose Charlie every time as he's literally the guitar I learned to play on so I know every bump, scratch and graze on him. IMO I think '57 is when they got Strats right.

Great video and happy birthday Charlie!! I use the DG20 in a cheaper Affinity Strat, which makes it sound huge with lots of tone options.
@@alexc2680 yeah it's an amazing set. I can't believe I waited so long.

Is Charlie a single child or does he have twin siblings
@@BassRocket No twin sibling. Has has a non twin sibling in the form of David: my Gilmour signature strat.
