My grandad, who introduced me to sardines when I was 3-4 years old, always insisted that the cheaper the sardine, the better. Bourbon too.

King Oscar Mediterranean is my favorite by far. It is my go to sardine. Excellent flavor, texture and quality. Plus I prefer my canned fish in olive oil.

Candian kipper 100%. They dont taste smoked CAUSE they arent smoked. You need the black packaged one for that my man. Unfair comparaison Sir.

TY, Now I can eat my sardines, the Season brand. Give this guy some lemon.

I'm a little late to see this. But, I have to tell you, I totally enjoyed watching you do this sardine and herring taste test❣️ I love canned sardines, herring, mackerel, smoked oysters, and even anchovies 😋 My dad raised me right! 🤣

This man loves sardines. Most people think they're gross. They are an aquired taste. I only eat them for their nutritional goodness

I like the ones in olive oil. Dump the whole can in a salad and be done with it.

I can see your wife sent you to the garage...LOL

King Oscar for me all day long, especially the Mediterranean style.

Sardines are one of the most nutritious foods in a can. I eat anything from the ocean. I've loved sardines my whole life. My wife however, hates sardines. So I eat my sardines out in my shop. Sometimes I catch em from my kayak. Very good food.

  • @GrendelSheperd

Love canned fish. Excellent post sir. I’d destroy all of them but prefer a kipper on a club with Tabasco 🤙

  • @48grizzly

I'm 75 yrs old. Got my first taste of sardines compliments of a hobo who was passing through my town in the 1950s. I've been a sardine lover ever since.

  • @joshuawells5953

Love me some canned seafood. I grew up extremely poor with 6 siblings. My dad and I were the only ones who enjoyed sardines so we were guaranteed to always have a snack in the pantry. Now that I'm older and slightly richer, the best sardines I've had are Nuri sardines from Portugal. They cost a fortune as far as sardines go but damn are they good. I never go camping or fishing without them. There's also a Hawaiian dish made with canned sardines that's really good. Can't think of the name right now but you can find recipes on RUclips for it.

I have fond memories of my dad eating sardines, Mackerel and Smoked Oysters. I have always loved any form of canned oily fish. I have always ate 2 cans of sardines a week for the last thirty years. When you don't want to be bothered by the wife or kids down a can of Sardines or Mackerel before the night is over you will be left alone, Or you will get the whole bed for the night. LOL

I grew up eating sardines because I’m Portuguese and grew up in Northern California.. recently moved to Portugal to retire and the sardines here are so much better and fresh.

  • @scottbowermaster7385

I've also tried a lot of "sardines " My favorite were the New Brunswick packed in Extra Virgin Olive Oil
