If you want to blow up your gear pls follow everything this guy is saying
Look at the date on this video. Now, today is Sept 25th, 2023 still playing just fine and crisp and clean as ever.
At what point is this supposed to blow, since your ass knows everything? Give me a date, because it's been a couple of years now. What date are you coming up with? Mfkas that listen to people like you end up not knowing how shit works. My shit works fine...STILL!
Good info but it’s not universal. Some amps aren’t designed to take in more than 4db
@@MicDropBBQ im glad your settings work. I keep all my levels low except my volume which I keep high. Since everything else is so low it balances out and makes a much cleaner sound at low decibels.
I mean I can crank my stereo up louder than a jet engine but im trying not to shatter my ears anymore lmao. they have too much damage.
With a Kenwood? Vol offset -6. Loudness LVL 1. Vol 25ish depending on the signal. That's it no other bells or whistles this is the key to good sound on my system.
Depending on your hardware, you'll probably want something different.
@sparklesparklesparkle6318 I only crank mine if someone asks. It's like my motorcycles: I usually only wheelie if a kid would ask. I don't wheelie all the time. Hahaha
Same with my music. I think my cars/Jeep/SUVs last me forever and are in good shape because I'm not a show-off trying to blow them up to prove a point. I've got 5 cars, all fully functioning. I run my sound at a clean volume and I play a lot of Jesse Cook, Don Tolliver, Nipsey Hussle, and old school music like Fleetwood Mac. People love the clarity and the punch, at the same time.
When you set your system up, it can hit. I've got wakeboard boat speakers on my system that are so loud, I sometimes run my system without em on. Wakeboard boat speakers are designed for mids to highs and they will bust your ear drums! 🤣😆🤣
@@MicDropBBQ bro I'm so happy and proud of you! Great job!
I try to go out of my way to listen to as much new music as possible.
I also listen to A LOT of Japanese Idol music/JPOP and JMetal.
I used to listen to a TON of techno/hardcore/trance/psy/goa/dnb/etc.
I have like 2 TB of it on my HD I obtained a while ago and have just been listening to it for the last 4 years.
Sometimes I bring my DDJ into my car to practice mixing.
I never got into DJing professionally because clubs are dens of sin and I must abstain lol.
If you want to give me more artist recommendations I'll definitely listen to ALL of them. I do a lot of listening.
in exchange I offer "2024 Harder Styles Mix (Hard Dance & Happy Hardcore Bangers)" by dj cotts on youtube.
This will put your system to the test for sure lol.
If you turn everything down then you can put your volume up more. Better sound quality will follow.
This video is old. Look at the date. Now, same radio. Same setup. Everybody in my Jeep says it's the cleanest system they've heard. None of these people are related. All of em love the quality. I say that because you haven't sat in my Jeep, so youee speaking from a rhetorical point of view, whereas I'm speaking of reality in my Jeep.
@@MicDropBBQ I would love to sit in your Jeep and give you both my honest opinion and a Doug Score.
That is a cool looking system!!!
Thanks, my man!!! Been slowly adding pieces to balance it out. The deck has to be a high RMS-wattage control system. It ain't all "flair" like some of these decks I see, but I was going for performance before aesthetics. This is probably the loudest deck I've owned. Powerful! And so easy to control each speaker with it.
@@MicDropBBQ what size sunbs you running stock or aftermarket?
@@SimplyNewEngland running all 8" subs. Keeps the music sounding like music and doesn't have the Jeep rattling like rocks in a tin can. 😂 Once you push 10s or 12s, you get license plate rattle, door rattle, change in your cup holder rattling around, all taking away from the actual sound of the music. All of that crap BECOMES a part of the music.
8s kinda give you all the deep bass you need for crisp, clean music - minus all of the extra rattling going on.
I've got 2 or 3 videos with the sound system laid out. Been building it over time.
Hey kids, never set your Loudness or Bass Boost levels above 0. If you have to boost loudness and bass you're doing it wrong
@@trevordon819 years later, my system still works just fine. I guess if YOU were right, the engineers that actually make sound systems wouldn't allow you to put it past zero, huh? The engineers would stop it at zero.
Yet, they didn't. And guess what: NOTHING happened to my system to this day. So, yeah....somebody sold you some rhetoric while I'm living in reality just fine.
While watching a DVD how do you turn off the closed captioning? I get tired of seeing the words on the small screen. Thank you
I don't watch DVDs on mine. I just bluetooth my phone to it for music. I bet if you go thru the settings, there's gotta be something hidden in there about Closed Captioning. If I used mine for more than just audio, I'd probably know, brotha!
@@MicDropBBQ I appreciate you getting back with me. I'll do some checking in all the settings, thanks again.
@@66lwmorgan All good, brotha. I know we get on RUclips looking for answers because we go thru EVERYTHING and be like, "...ok...there's something I'm not seeing. LOL! If the Jeep didn't have a rain cover over it right now, I'd be out there going thru the radio looking! hahahha

@@66lwmorgan You too, and very welcome, brotha!
Thanks brother! I'll just max everything out and I should be good to go! Lol
All good brotha! I found these settings after about a week of owning it. Took it to a whole new level! 😂😂😂 I was like WAIT....WHAT???
@@MicDropBBQWhat's up man? I finally got the radio installed last night. It definitely sounds way better than stock! Thanks for the suggestions! I'm still craving a little more bass so I might add one of the underseat subs. I think that will do the trick! Mine isn't quite as loud as yours. I can get it up to 10 but I'm definitely happy with it so far! Can't throw too much more money into the audio I just found out I have a bent axle flange so that's going to be my next project 😁
@@dig791 sweeeeeet!!! And yup, rounding it out with a simple set of underwear subs would warm it up nicely. I have Rockville 8" underseat subs and they fit perfectly under there.
10 is intense. Hahaha! You over there BOOMING out the neighbors now. Hahahaha! I've been in the garage all week working on a motorcycle with the Jeep radio on 3 and it rumbles nicely. Windows down and the crisp tunes come out so clean.
My phone volume is on MAX too. Make sure yours is. It will hit more!
@@dig791 and what's an axle flange? 😂😂 You're talking serious Jeep talk now! Im still looking at welding some axle trusses on mine. I don't have a way to weld cast aluminum, so gonna have to create a steel bridge across the top of the diff pumpkins...
@@MicDropBBQ I had never heard of it either but the flange is where the axle shaft attaches to the wheel. I basically just have to replace the axle shafts.
How did you enable rear speakers? I can not so it using rca cables. Can you help me?
My rear speaker wires are not RCA. They are wired directly from the Jeep harness for rear speakers. The subs are running RCA.
@@MicDropBBQ if i solder the rear speakers to my front speakers wires, will i lose power in sound(W)?
You won't get the balance of how most music is engineered (sometimes) and you could probably overpower the unit. Trying to run all speakers from two sources instead of 4 sources is like trying to run all of your appliances on one outlet in the house. It might work at a low setting, but pushing more power thru it might overload that part of the head unit.
What you wanna do is find out if the rear outlets/wires on your head unit are working or not. If they are not sending signal, it could be 1) possible head unit fuse blown, or 2) head unit settings. If the fuse is good and the unit settings are pushing for signal to the rear, then it could be the motherboard inside of the head unit is fried for those outlets/wires only. It's possible.
I have my rear wires on my head unit going to the rear wires in my Jeep harness. That way, when I move the signal to rear, only signal on my soundbar and the back of the Jeep are producing sound. When I adjust setting for FRONT, the sound bar is no longer audible and I think my subs also turn off. Not 100% sure because the subs are their own signal. But front/rear are definitely separate signals in the head unit.
Thanks a lot dude. I ll search tomorrow for rear speaker wires but the car did not came with rear speaker. I hope i ll get lucky
CTFU this the best way to blow everything all at once 😂😂😂
It's 2024 right now. Look at the date on the video. Now, why the fck am I still bumping the SAME unit from the time I did this video and the SAME speakers and even MORE amps and speaker if the shit gon blow? Apparently, you don't know how to hook shit up, which is why you blow shit. Give me a DATE on when it's gonna blow, since you know so much. You got a date in mind, genius? @@BossybDontcapSauce lol 😂
If I were to sit in your ride and you turned that system on, I would definitely be able to know right away those settings are all the way up. It's not a great sound, at least to me. It's all in good balance to make a system sound good.
I bet you wouldn't. Have you heard of an EQ? It's how you balance out music. Do you think I run all of my music dry with no EQ? Everyone that gets in my car says it's one of the best systems they've heard. Crystal clear with rumbling base and the Jeep doesn't rattle like most cars. When you get in, you're surrounded by warm bass that also hits, but the highs are crisp and not overdoing it.
Bass boost kills speakers... distortion!!!!
Not if you set up your EQ and amps correctly. I run boost at +5 instead of +6. Never max out any levels and you're not gonna have clipping at the top.
When I run my amp, I run gain at 75%, max. I run my bass EQ at about 60%. Warms everything up just nicely. Even my underseat speakers are at around 80%. Sounds like you're in a theater! No clipping/distortion at all. NEVER run 100% on anything and you'll be fine.
Lmao wat a rookie
@diegoduran8435 still bumping to this day...same setup. Same great sound. Rookies be the ones posting on the internet thinking they smarter than what they really are 😂🤣😅
My system sounds better set correctly no plus dbs ur distortion your gear & clipping for sure
I liked the bass boost!!
All of those should be set to 0, you’ll be able to crank up to 30-40 and get more clarity without clipping bro. Especially if you are running an external amp.
I don't clip, and it sounds just fine. Been running it like this since before this video dropped. People in my Jeep can't believe how amazing the setup sounds. Always compliments on it. That's just real versus what yall might think know your head. Until you've been in the Jeep and heard it, all you have is an imagination of.how you might think it sounds.
For me, it's real life and it sounds amazing.
What the hell 😭😭😭 only thing I have set is my time alignment being on 3 db and everything else off and the eq on flat 😭😭😭
My radio has the subwoofer option but it says off no matter what how do I fix this?
You have to have the RCA cables with a subwoofer running to an amp, I believe. If there's nothing installed with those cables, maybe it won't activate on the screen.
@@MicDropBBQ I fixed it thanks for the help
Max volume of 5!? Wth these headunits can go to 30-35 without clipping when set correctly 😂
That's as loud as I want it. I actually go up to around 7 and it's booming loud enough for me. But that's only using my phone. If I use the unit by itself (like using the radio), then it can go a lot higher, like in the 30s. But why?
I just use my phone volume at like 75% and I don't have to crank the unit volume up past 5 - and it sounds perfect. I can see that I'll be doing a video WITH PEOPLE inside that can give a critique of how they feel about the music levels, clarity, etc. All different people who don't know each other so people don't think I'm bullshitting about how amazing the setup sounds.
For you internet folks, you literally think you know everything without even hearing shit. That's funny. But come back later for the video of people actually IN THE JEEP. I'll make sure to ask them all the questions you think you know the answers to, and see if they say what you expect them to say. Ask them about clipping and all that. Go right ahead. I'm sure you'll be triggered when you find out there is none...but that's expected of you.
exactly ..now if someone enters his car and put 10 and kaboom everything gone
You are 100% right bro. we know system goes up to 40 50. You need the equipment you need the Speakers.
When you installed the after market radio did you buy the expensive harness with that module or did you by pass the factory amp is so Brotha can you please tell me how ?
I didn't buy a harness. The JVC I took out was wired in by the previous owner. I just snipped them and wired this to the factory harness. Plugged the radio in and it worked perfectly. I didn't connect my steering wheel controls because I used to hit the controls by mistake and change songs all the time. Irritating!
Now when I hit the controls, nothing. Plus I'm sitting right next to the radio so it takes no effort to turn up the volume or whatever. I think they made steering wheel controls for people with short arms and small fingers. Lol!
I'm using the factory amp with this setup and it hits! I may run a 2nd amp to the Skar 8" sub, but everything else is literally maxed and plays loud! The Skar can take a bit more, so I may push it to see what it can do.
@@MicDropBBQ ahhhh i see because I need to bypass my factory amp I bought a harness my pioneer turns on but there’s no sounds because I need the tiger harness with this module that bypasses the stock amp so there can be sound but thank you very much I was just wondering if you did bypass it so you can tell me how but thank you!

@@MicDropBBQ and is your sub amplified or no ?
@@anthonyortega68 the main sub (the 8" Skar) is not amplified by anything other than the stock amp. I literally attached the speaker to the leads that were already in the Jeep connected to the stock 8" Infinity sub that I pulled out.
The Rockville 8s under the seats are pre-amped, themselves. The 8" wakeboard speakers have a 300W amp they run thru, situated in the rear cargo bay.
I'm not understanding why the Pioneer isn't just powering up and having sound. Make sure you're running the wires to the correct speakers. There are two sets of speaker leads inside of the dash, I believe. I was having issue with the sound as well, but once you get the correct leads installed, sound happens.
I clearly remember installing and wondering why no sound was playing thru the deck. I was messing with the controls and everything, thinking it was the controls. I re-wired it to a different set of leads and it worked. Surprised me because I swore I connected them to the exact same leads as the old JVC I pulled out. I guess I didn't.
You don't need to bypass that amp. It's the wiring. Happened to me, too!
All knobs to the right 😂
Still bumping to this day, no issues...no clipping...no distortion. When you know how to maximize your audio settings properly to match the amps you're using at the settings they need, you're gonna have some GOOD SOUNDS!
Is this radio 2v or 4v output
I would have to check the specs online I installed this thing so long ago, I can't remember. It bumps tho! 🤣😅😆 More powerful than the JVC one that came in the Jeep when I bought it.
@UberJeepAZ pioneer better than jvc. The only brand I had that was better then pioneer was alpine.
@2015gtbass I agree. This is a very basic unit compared to what's out, but I can't get rid of it. It hits perfectly and makes almost any song sound damn near LIVE. The EQ setting and bass settings are perfect for my setup. A lot of new units look all fancy, but I would put this unit up against em for quality sound. Truly crisp highs and deep, rumbling lows. Powers all five 8" subs, the 10" sub, four 6.5" subs, and a set of tweeters in the dash.
When I say this little Pioneers hits, it does! And it wasn't expensive at all! I bought it to replace eolace my JVC when it cracked, but I didn't realize I was upgrading! Hahaha! Now I've had this for about 2yrs, jamming!!
My whole sound system is in my Wrangler Sound System Playlist. Simole system, but hits nicely for a Jeep.
What’s your sub amp settings like
My sub amp setting runs around 75% to 80% gain. Gives me leverage to really get the EQ settings up a little higher for the deep bass frequency. On the EQ, my lowest hertz setting is at +2 and my next to lowest hertz is at -2. The maximum is +12 and -12 on the EQ. Gives me nice, clear music t a higher volume with no distortion.
@@MicDropBBQ you should do a vid on how u set everything up
@@dsingh11 I ended up getting a SKAR amp to replace the PPI that I was testing out, so I added another video for that. I want to get someone random to do a review on what they think about the sound in the Jeep. That will give people a better idea of an unbiased approach to the way I have it all going.
Everytime I give someone a ride, the first thing they say about the radio is how clear it is and how deep the bass is. Rocks the seats and fills the cabin, and there's NO RATTLING outside of the Jeep. It's all smooth like a true luxury vehicle setup. Most cars that are luxury have engineers that know how to get it loud and clean, not rattling license plates and trunk lids and door jams.
That's how mine is. And it hits HARD at the same time! No distortion. All clarity.
why dont my rear speakers work ?
I don't know. Maybe you've got it wired wrong. That's where I would start. You can even use a volt meter an touch the wiring for your rear speakers to make sure power is even going thru. Should show voltage. If there's none, then you're probably not using the correct wiring assignment.
@@MicDropBBQ cause the rear speaker output of greyed out and everything has a solid connection
You wanna test power to make sure the wires have power going to the speakers. If the unit doesn't recognize power going to the speakers, it may grey the screen out to keep the wires from shorting. Showing if the speakers have power will be your first move to diagnosis.
LOL this goes against everything I've learned from the "pros" on YT the past couple weeks. Doesn't give you much control over the volume if you can only go up to 6/40. But hey, to each his own.
Look at the date of this video. Now look at today's date. My settings been the same THIS WHOLE TIME and my system ain't blown, nor is it distorted? Can you explain that? I mean, I did what I did and anyone that's heard my system even BEFORE I did this video all say the same thing: "...damn this thing sounds good!!!" Loud or even at a normal level, everyone compliments the clarity of the system.
Soooooo, yeah. You can believe what you want on the internet. I live this shit. LOL! I got it in my Jeep, STILL BUMPING this long with no issues! And if you want to control the volume from the phone, just turn it down on the phone. It's not that hard. You're holding the phone in your hand! LOL! Your stereo is on the dash and you're holding the phone.
I mean, is that not called VOLUME CONTROL, as well???
I could turn the volume down on my phone to 10% and HAVE to crank the radio to level 40 just to hear it. I mean, there's THAT, but who wants to do that? LOL! It's been working JUST FINE for years, so no problems on my end.
Lmao dumb ass settings clipping or distortion
this is the way you kill your speakers
They've been working for almost a year and a half, just fine. When are they supposed to die? I mean. If they're still running after 60k miles of driving and music, that's like 4yrs of theoretical use. They should have been done by now, ya think?
Was waiting for someone to realize what's wrong. Lol
@@ashtonbennett2882 over 2yrs like this. Haven't blown a speaker yet. Not sure how you guys set your shit up, but apparently you don't know as much as you think you do if you're blowing speakers. Maybe leave your setups to people who don't blow speakers.

Only reason I was here was to see what features the pioneer radio had. Thanks lol
No bass boost no loud high that is ful blown distortion
Why have I been driving with this for over two years and NO distortion? I mean, can you explain that, Einstein? It's still in my Jeep, so give me an actual date on when I'm supposed to hear distortion. Everyone that rides in my Jeep are amazed at how clean the setup sounds, but you're claiming distortion and you ain't even been in my Jeep. LOL! That's hilarious! @@MicDropBBQ is this satire? you are using the "i have never died so i must be immortal" logic, of course it has not blown yet because you use 5/40 volume, if adjusted properly you should be able to play it with 40/40 volume with no distortion anywhere, your system will most likely break at volume 10/40. and with your settings you literally have just 5 steps instead of 40 in the volume.
@BigToro Why would I wanna sit there and keep hitting the volume button 40 times to get it loud when I only have to hit it 5 to 7 times and it's perfect? 🤣😅😆 You really gin sit there and tap that button 40 TIMES? HAHAHAHAHA!
Been jamming since before this video came out and everyone that hears my Jeep says it's crazy loud and crystal clear with kicking bass and all. Zero distortion. None at all.
I ain't about to sit there and tap a damn button 40 times EACH TIME I gotta turn it up.or down. 🤣😅😆😅 It's great where it is. No need to be stupid and go, "...now let me see if I can get to 40..Derrrrrrrr."
@@MicDropBBQ you know you can hold it to go multiple steps at a time, right? having 7 as the max is kinda risky as you can accidentally hold or press too many times, which will send too powerful signal to all the speakers/amps which is like having a self destruct button ready at all times next to the volume button.
so no i don't press it 40 times, i hold it for a few seconds and press like 2 times to fine adjust it (if i need to), also an issue with too much boost to everything, you cant really control the volume precisely, there is no volume for 4.25, i can go with 15 for casual listening and 35 occasionally when i feel like it, also too much bass boost will make the bass sound crappy
@BigToro Why not just tape it 3 times and be done? All that HOLDING and making sure you stop at the right time? For what? To say your volume is at 40?
Sound is sound, not a number. If I tap from 3 to 5 and love the sound, I'm good. No need to play with my radio in traffic. Tap twice and be done.
Been having this radio setup in my Jeep since before this video came out. All of what you're saying hasn't happened in 2yrs, so you're dreaming of a situation that I don't live in. My reality versus your dreams are 2 different things. Two years of my reality versus 15 seconds of you daydreaming about my setup.
Shoulldda read da comments blew tf out da speakers😒
It's not about reading comments but more about knowing how your shit works. I've been having the SAME SETUP in my Jeep since before this video came out. I still run mine just fine. No telling how you blew yours, but probably went past the point of "sounds good" to "I wanna win a competition". For that level, you need more money in your pocket. LOL! I been bumping mine nice and loud for YEARS on this same setup and everyone that gets in the Jeep loves how crazy it sounds.
Bro u must have ur gains maxses out
Nope. If you max ANYTHING out - you're gonna push beyond a limit. Anyone that works in audio knows that much. LOL! The most I run anything at is around 80-90%. A max will distort in almost every situation.
What was your equalizer set at? I see you got all that shit but I know that head unit has a equalizer Can you do a video on it or tell me how you got it set up
My EQ setup is based on the type of music I play. If you want to play Jesse Cook (guitar), pull bass out on the EQ so your guitar sounds more realistic. If you're running rock, pull bass out so it sounds more clear. If you're running hip hop, add a little bass, but not a lot because you don't want to drown out the lyrics..but still more bass than Jesse Cook or rock.
Setting up your EQ is based on what you're listening to and how you want it to sound. You may not want it exactly as I do, so you've gotta just mess with the settings until you're hearing it how you like it.
I see lots of clipping every where 😅
You don't SEE clipping. You HEAR clipping. And I've had this unit for over 2yrs now. NO CLIPPING! So, maybe you're blind! LOL! Anybody that's rode in my Jeep says the same thing when we crank it up: DAMN your shit sounds clean as hell!"
So, clipping is HEARD, not SEEN. Maybe you see shit in soundwaves, but most humans hear audio...not see it.
@@MicDropBBQ you know what I meant to say buddy. Why dont you go buy a smd or oscilloscope and that would tell you..... If you adding bass boost, loudness, ect. You need more power buddy. Takes POWER TO MAKE POWER.
You don't need more POWER to create better sounding music. Get your RMS wattage right and that's all you need. Balance your RMS and don't this max-wattage means better sound. Understanding the balance of RMS from your head unit to your amps to your speakers is KEY in producing a quality sound.
Not everybody rides around just listening to bass all day. Some of us listen to actual music. All bass does is make the music sound "full" and "warm". For most music, bass isn't the main frequency. You've got mids and highs for the majority of the music I listen to. Therefore, keeping my RMS wattage balanced out is key in making my system sound CLEAR and QUALITY, not rattling my Jeep like a bag of tin cans going down the street. LOL! I'm too old for that, man.
I put all of my money into supercharging my engine and building my Jeep for off-roading, not for bass.

Still driving with the same unit in my Jeep. That's a mighty long time to be fake. Hahaha
Come on broo to me looks like ur setup clipping pretty good lol
Never clipped. Still setup the same way since I dropped this video. The only difference is I added a 10" sub and another amp. Loud as hell.
Did you install an amplifier running to the subs and speakers too? I have this same head unit and I’m about to upgrade speakers and add a sub - just want to know if an amp is needed or if the head unit will suffice
For the 6" speakers in the front and soundbar, tweeeters and the 8" factory sub in the very back (replaced with a SKAR), I run the factory amp.
I do run wakeboard boat speakers and another 10" sub in the back. I have videos of those, as well. They have amps. But the factory amp is still in place powering it all, as well. If you want CRANKING sound, you might need a set of wakeboard boat speakers with an amp, just to push that level a bit higher. The 10" sub I have installed is a bit much, honestly. It's a HARD HITTING sub, now that I've got it tuned right and all that. Crazy bass that's really unnecessary! LOL! I EQ it down because it literally shakes my brain!
