After first praising Xi Jinping to the skies for his "strong" control of the virus, he switched to name calling -- the "Kung Flu," the "China virus" -- to incite xenophobic responses. He really did only one big thing right -- backing Operation Warp Speed, which hastened the development of the vaccine. Now his party has gone full nutcase, demonizing Anthony Fauci. These are unserious people in thrall to a sociopathic clown. The U.S. death rate from COVID far exceeded that of peer nations. That was not due to excessive lockdowns or masking. It was due to incompetence in the White House. Time for a great remembering.

Bingo! I'm saying there will be NO MORE SHORT RIDES. Human drivers will be doing highway driving and long distance rides, watch. Anything with a toll may also be human driver only. Still trying to figure out their game plan, but I know short rides and "to/from work" rides for some people are gonna be Waymo scheduled. Most drivers don't wanna do the "4am to-work" rides, so Waymo taking all those.

If drivers aren't capitalizing on building a businesses, they'll be at a W2 paying em less than they're making now, because a huge gap of "gig worker" on their resume is gonna look like zero experience to those that don't understand the business we're in. Short trips with surge are gonna dry up. Surge will be on nature hikes sending drivers 30 miles out...for $25. Waymo and Cruise will do all the short trips.

Capitalism has more to do with profits than it has to deal with anything else. If they can have more control over a situation using less humans, they will try to have less humans. Labor is a cost that can kill profits. Always look at the financial statements because that's what they're looking at.

A lot of us are only doing private rides. Rideshare is using drivers to replace drivers, and these drivers have no clue.

"Cash ride" doesn't mean paper cash. We use Cashapp, Venmo, Square, and Zelle as well. Some even use Chime. We all have QR codes and Tap To Pay systems in place.
