- In this video you will see my husband making a DIY hole punch die for my Press machine... This will work for No2, No3, No4, No5 Press Mashines.
I am so exited that this worked so well!!! I love my press machine and now I can do EVERYTHING with it! :)

Hey Eleana, its great to repurpose tools and make something easier to do. I am lucky as my Arbour press has a 12mm bore in the ram and a locking screw, so I dont need to adapt things too much by adding threads. Another thing you can do, get a bolt, in your case 6mm, cut the threads down to the size you need, or just get a nice short bolt. Sand the face of the hexagon head till it is smooth and then you can use that to press rivets on projects.
My press machine includes dies for rivets, snap buttons and eyelets. Also dies for singe hole opening (0,5mm to 6mm). So I don't need to do any other modifications! 😋

Instead of welding the all thread on, would it been able to cut in the threads with a die?

I use my stamping machine, and put in a drill chuck so I don't have to cut or modify my tools 👍🏼
I tried that! So much distance between the leather and the punch tool. It takes so much time to align the tool with the leather. And I needed to press hard to open the holes! It didn’t worked for me... also the hand tools I modified are much cheaper than the actual dies for the machine.... so no regrets if I ruined them! 😋
@@EleanaWorkshop yeah aligning the tool with leather is quite a problem 😭
@@lowspeak I don’t have this problem any more!!! I make the holes so much faster now... I will make few more dies like these and I will use them in my future videos for sure!

This is not a stamp machine... it is a press machine that comes with hole punching dies, snap button dies, rivet setting dies and eyelet setting dies... I do everything with just one machine!

its bad way to use a solid stand. This will blunt the punch. Will need to sharpen all the time.
