Just wanted to thank you Chris and a huge thanks to Barry...such a great interview. Invaluable perspective and so many great lessons. My father Leo Heile was SVP of ITT and a brilliant guy (physics major/quant) running $25B for ITT (heard some funny Rand stories)...and before he passed in '02 I asked him if there was any advice he wanted to pass on to the grandkids and he thought for a few minutes (long time for him) and replied 'Yes...always challenge your assumptions, because you're usually wrong. And if you get enough smart people in a room and you all think that way you'll probably arrive at the best solution". Same wisdom Barry is sharing from a lifetime of hits and misses. Such a great perspective, and kudos to him for sharing it so openly and honestly. I hope he writes that book...and ends up in a position to influence public policy at some point. His take on American politics is spot on and his ability to distill the basics of fiscal policy down to a almost a kindergarten level (which is necessary today) is a true gift. Stacking a cabinet with a critical mass of experienced and successful businesses people from various mission critical sectors of the private sector (not just Wall Street) is the only hope we have for righting the ship. That and solving the problem of the corrupting influence of money in politics...haha. Hope to God we eventually get to vote for an independent candidate willing to do both, and Barry is a part of that team.
Such a great interview! Guys like Barry make complex problems and strategies seem like such common sense. Incredible ability to simplify things that I’m sure took thousands of tiny decisions to be made.
This podcast is phenomenal, can’t believe it’s just now gaining traction. Truly the greatest pod I’ve seen so far. True business geniuses consistently it’s amazing
I have watched Barry on a few youtube videos, I have yet heard anyone ask him " What is /are the entry steps for someone with limited capital get into real estate? I would like to ask him that, even better to get an answer. Thanks
Thanks for the response, I did hear that. Thank you! Obviously, connections and his previous work led to that 21 Million. My question is directed towards the everyday person. @@user-we3br2ji4n
Raising money from investors (consider family), using FHA loans while saving $5K-$10K, getting into real estate in the beginning is purely a matter of equity, unfortunately it’s more expensive to find capital to use for real estate now since capital is getting expensive, but nonetheless it’s equity over profitability in the beginning years, overtime as things get paid out you build more equity & credit to carryover to other real estate projects that begin to turn profit slowly but surely
I thought the world and all of real estate was going to fall apart because the Federal Reserve was raising interest rates too much 😢cry me a river Barry 😂
The only reason I would want to win the lottery is so I can work and do business Consulting for every business I can and not ask for any money and start all of my amazing projects and programs and theater shows. I don't think anybody has any clue of how bad this is and to justify it it's just worse because would you all be okay if you are daughter or niece were sold all around the world and everyone's making trillions and she made absolutely nothing ever but works all the time on plans and then never stops coming up with ideas and staying positive it is so hard to hear people laughing I want to be happy to it's unreal to think that none of you are helping I can't fathom that I could never imagine having money like that and not helping me is so terrible to think that that's what America and citizens think is okay. It seems like that is destined to backfire especially if it is a man in charge that can just change laws to make what they're doing legal but if you did it to anyone else it was illegal I would imagine that this is about control and this could go very very wrong. Because the US Department of State guys are the ones that set up the PayPal and put some money on my bank account in 2020 and they said well at least we won't have to go down we did our share
Very polite interviewer, give space to talk but also knows when to interject.

Cool stuff. Barry sounds less like a real estate guy and more like an architect/design guy. Sounds like that’s where his passion comes from.
