You absolutely have the BEST camera crew of all of RUclips PERIOD...,all of your videos capturing moving planes and helicopters are definitely perfectly steady and TOP NOTCH!!!!! I have vertigo and can't watch too many RUclips videos with airplanes and helicopters, and i can totally bing watch all your videos without any problems or issues, which means a lot to my watching pleasure . Thanks, i really appreciate you both ,and you guys are definitely the BEST ON RUclips!!!!!
I just hate those trees jumping up and hitting my plane, it happens to me all the time. Thanks Brian and camera crew for the flight and fix. Awesome stuff !
I live in an apartment.. but across the street there is a shopping center with a huge parking lot, complete with trees and lamp posts.. This would be perfect for early morning flights... Great video Camera Crew... Thank you both for sharing..
I love all my umx planes cause I don't have to load the car up with huge planes then drive 10 mins to the huge open park field where I fly my big planes at and spend 30 minutes prepping the planes. I got 25 umx planes in my collection even some older discontinued ones as well. I just ordered this umx Pitts v2 looks amazing
On my repair of the wing strut, I used a clear plastic piece of packaging material and Foam-Tac glued it to the broken section. Can't hardly see it and it is stronger than before. Great tips Brian!
this video was perfect for me I just got this plane the other day and I'm pretty nervous about crashing. but this video has given me a lot of confidence. I also recently watched Your video on real flight evolution. and I'm gonna make that purchase here very soon. you videos are very intriguing i don't find myself losing interest as someone with adhd we all know how that can be. p.s would love tips for getting more comfortable out of safe mode thanks for the vids. keep them coming.
LOL - thanks! Good luck with this little beauty! When and if you find success, and love this plane, get the WACO UMX ( bprc.me/Waco - but might be out of stock at the moment, fyi )on your list too ;) You will love it also!!!
It CAN be ;) I like to repair only as it keeps from having to replace it, but many in this wonderful hobby LOVE repairing and building more than flying.
I was attempting a similar repair a couple weeks ago… the strut detached at the bottom wing. I put a little CA, then shot a little kicker on it. It did not workout well. I thought the kicker dissolved the foam - but in hindsight, it was what you stated - the heat of reaction - based on the pattern of damage. I have a mess on my hands now - I set it aside to contemplate my next move… lol.
Yeah, and it's THIN foam too...so if you're not careful, even the "low odar" / "foam safe" CA can melt this stuff :( - gotta be super careful. I think my CHINA-GLUE will work like I want, and the tape to help reinforce the joint, and keep it stiff, will win out in the long run, till I crash into another tree ;) LOL
When I chip the paint on my foam planes I’ll take it down to the local hardware store and have them computer color match the paint, then buy a semi gloss sample size latex. Usually matches pretty well.
FYI. CA glue after you use it put it in the zip lock bag like you showed air tight. I actually then put it in another zip lock bag then put it in the refrigerator. Refrigerator is key. It will last a very very long time. I have some still in the frig over a year.
Ya just last week I lost my spitfire that I loved to fly in silovette. It had flaps, retracts everything. In silovettre, couldn't tell whether I was looking at side top or side bottom... In the moment forgot my own rule to go up hi when in doubt - same as u said......I gave it some input & then I couldn't tell if it was coming or going. ..Finally by the time I established it was going it was flying under a v far tall trees arch. I couldn't pull up now. After that its fate was sealed. I pulled up but it became invisible behind trees line.... Quite heartbroken to lose spitfire experience.
Expanding your Domain? Sweet! That building could hold a lottta planes. ;-) A year ago flying tight like that wasn't in my repertoire. Now i'm getting cocky and flying my 400mm war birds over the water at the marina. Landing in a small patch of grass in front of the dinghy. rack. Your vids and the amazing camera work done by your camera crew are an inspiration. Awesone/different sound that bird makes too.
The lack of post production, and your absolute inability to shut up and let the imagery talk... The whole repair bit could be gone over in 10 minutes with voice over, much clear and more concise... And more useful. Wanted to see the results and skipped over at high speed. Lost the interest when you rambled about the price of the friking ca glue. Great content, absolutely terrible delivery. Same content but with 10 minutes of planing and lighting would bring you huge benefits. Thanks anyway. Im going to buy that micro. I'm sure it will be great.
I was thinking about that too. BUT, then I'd have to try to hide it, and the foam is so thin. You can get this Carbon Fiber strip that's flat, and would work perfectly, but same situation...how do you hide it?
@BrianPhillipsRC I just use the smallest toothpick and just feed it through the foam bit by bit. As long as the foam is atleast x1.3 thickness of the toothpick it'll be fine. U only need about 1" of it if that. Just for strength and more surface area for the glue. Whenever I bend a rudder I shove toothpicks right down it to reinforce it.
Im surprised the Camera Crew doesn't tell you , hey Brain roll reversal time. Go 10 steps to the left , no more to your right, now back up 4 steos . While she closes the bedroom door after she throws your pillow at you. 😅😂😅😂😅.LMAO. You have a great crew. 👍 Awesomeness / team work. Love your channel. I cant get my better half to even go watch me Fly. 😢
I've never had any bird strikes BUT I used to fly slow fliers at night around the street lamps and I'd to get attacked by bats all the time. At first I was like, what the hell?, I didn't do a roll?? .. then I found the claw marks 😂 freakin hilarious .
Nice! More weight, I bet, but should work well! I could try that, if my China Glue joint fails. Thanks for the tip! P.S. This EPS is super similar to foam plates, so I could just go to walmart or target and see if they carry a RED plate, then trace one out, cut it, then glue her in place...
Good flying and fixing Brian! I’m a big fan of your channel. I’ve been flying Rc for over 10 years now. But I have a question. Are you guys moving again even after you build your current property? What happened? Anyway keep up the good flying and keep up the good funny intros!
My wife caught me watching this video . She was upset that your video implies that I will never stop breaking new planes. I lied and said you deliberately crash for more views on RUclips
I have found that Foam-Tac works better for me on these HH foam planes. I recently used it to repair a very badly damaged UMX A-10 (10 pc at least) and flew it successfully without even having to do much retrimming.
Thanks Brian; Now I have to get this one too. You're killing me Brian. But thank you for this. I need to know how to press the undo button on an UMX crash. If I weren't straight I'd kiss you in gratitude with camera crew's consent
Different Multi-purpose Brick Rx...so probably not. You would be in it more than the cost of the plane by the time you're done with surgical mods. bprc.me/Pitts
Hey I'm #1 Again! 👍👍🤣🤣😁😎 PS Those Wing Separating Struts Are Called Cabanes... 🤣🤣 Ohhh W@@W Y'alls Got Ya A New Planes+ Hangar w/More Land + Runways Also? 🤔 Y'alls Are Becomin Quite The Land Barons & Jolly Ranchers... 😜🤠 TESLA Stocks Musta Been Very Good To Youins... 😁😁😎

Wow nice I have the Umx citation and Umx s1s
I have the Pitts and WACO and one other micro. Some old school flyers get worried around these things.
On my repair of the wing strut, I used a clear plastic piece of packaging material and Foam-Tac glued it to the broken section. Can't hardly see it and it is stronger than before. Great tips Brian!
Pitts vs. Tree? Tree. Pitts vs. Barnswallow? Pitts! Good video. I have struggled putting these back together.
Good idea! Anything VS Barnswallos = EPIC BATTLE
With all the restriction being imposed on us here in the UK UMXs are the way to go...Love the show Brian
I bet!
My dad and I got 2 of these things and flew them in about 15mph wind one day. It was hilarious, great time! Fun little airplane
Very cool! 15MPH would be about the absolute limit for this little beauty! I bet it was fun!!!

That Dog Fight on your last flight awesome! 👍

Yes! Thanks
Really fun video guys. Thanks for sharing. I bet the 1.1 yellow t28 would be fun on the new lot.
Camera crew is a great asset Brian... be nice! Ha Ha
She really is!

keep the CA in the fridge...always works for me. I went to hot glue though. Less finger sticking together issues..haha
I've tried that too...I think my 5 year old CA MIGHT be the culprit ;)
@BrianPhillipsRC also I put the turbo timber tires on my Pitt. Still Flys perfect and perfection on those rough ground area's. Perfect fitment.
The lack of post production, and your absolute inability to shut up and let the imagery talk...

Nice job👍
Brian I'm very suprised u didn't use a toothpick to secure the broken strut between the wings.
I second that
I was thinking about that too. BUT, then I'd have to try to hide it, and the foam is so thin. You can get this Carbon Fiber strip that's flat, and would work perfectly, but same situation...how do you hide it?

Brian you can also breathe on the glue. The moisture will accelerate the drying time of the glue.
I have one and love it, get one if you do not have one, so much fun.
I LOVE MY UMX PITTS. IT IS A ROCKET SHIP THOUGH
This plane is a blast, and if you can avoid trees, it's even better! LOL
Im surprised the Camera Crew doesn't tell you , hey Brain roll reversal time. Go 10 steps to the left , no more to your right, now back up 4 steos . I broke my struts and used a hotel key card laminated to the back side of the strut with BS foam TAC. Red marker “paint” it and go fly.
Nice! More weight, I bet, but should work well! I could try that, if my China Glue joint fails. Thanks for the tip!

Curious, What do you do or will you do about Remote ID?
I have found that Foam-Tac works better for me on these HH foam planes. I recently used it to repair a very badly damaged UMX A-10 (10 pc at least) and flew it successfully without even having to do much retrimming.
Any chance you can do a build/setup/review of the flight line B-24 Liberator?
You may probably had mentioned this in the video but would you recommend this for beginners?
great flying, you make it look too easy....
Thanks Brian; Now I have to get this one too. You're killing me Brian. But thank you for this. I need to know how to press the undo button on an UMX crash. If I weren't straight I'd kiss you in gratitude with camera crew's consent
does this model have flaps function? just bought this model!!! very excited
No flaps, but it doesn't "need" them. It's a great plane!
Thanks for the reply. First time flying a 4 channel. Been too windy for the last 4 days. Havent put it up since i got it.
Can I get the Motor and ESC and upgrade my Pitts V1?
Different Multi-purpose Brick Rx...so probably not. You would be in it more than the cost of the plane by the time you're done with surgical mods.

Let's Go 🔥
My elevator servo stopped working 👎, looks like a lot of work to take this little Pitts apart 🤪
I crashed mine and had to repair the exact same thing. Still fies good
U need to make ur own professional rc runway x with crosswind capabilities
Farmer Brian? That's new
This is the first day of school in Kansas
My UMX Pitts looks way worse than yours does after hitting the tree. I can’t believe it flies like nothing happened to it.
Outperforms any other stunt plane, regardless of scale. I have over 100 flights, three overhauls, still flies on all the original parts.
It is amazing!
Let me guess trying to achieve air water ,ground😉👍
Tuesday the 5th
That serves you right for for being impolite to the camera crew
wdym
I tried that with my simulator and crashed every time.
Smoke detector wants a fresh battery
Love the channel thank you. 🫶💯🤟
