Im so glad you keept going , we all want an "every man " to do the things that we dream of because i means we CAN do it too . Youve got our hopes and dreams resting on your shoulders bro , show us how !
Well done Teri. Remember, after you're done making your "to do" list, scratch half of the stuff you wrote down, and do priority things that get you out sailing. You'll know what you need after a few day-, or weekend sails.
When i saw the shiny pole i thought we were gonna be in for a treat 😂😂😂😂. Great to see you moving forward, wishing you the very best with your new boat ⛵
Scampi is a good boat, missed the one I was after in the US by one day... not many here. You'll be much happier living in a boat that you can actually move around on. 👍
She's not bad compared to my 45-yr-old worm-eaten wooden cutter... but on my boat, the best bits are things I know I can count on. Same for you... including yourself. You and Demetrius have a lot of potential together. Take care of her and let her take care of you.
Nice one. Looks promising. It's glad to see you back on form. Keep them coming. I've watched fron the very beginning and have felt every bit of the journey you have been through so far. It is so good that you keep it warts and all. Good luck for round 2 on the job front.
You’ve got a really nice boat there. Ooo the suspense of the next will it start video is exciting. Not sure I can contain the excitement and anticipation till the next episode. This channel is so much better than tv these days 👍👍👍
Use the boat as is, don't remodel things because you want it, or because its better. Dont replace the electrical, just fix what needs to be fixed, and go sailing. Every project will blow up 500% (at least) its not worth the hassle. This boat seems great, so just maintain it and keep it ship shape, then you will still have something to sell in xx years.
It all looks very promising, well done.we used to have a swinging around table that used to go up & down a pole. Just a warning that before you go sailing you need to make sure the table is secured well so that it stays in one place when tacking. Good luck with the new boat.
Have prepared 4 or 3 fans on the walls one in Forward birth one by gally and one or two in the cabinet area. Plus putting thermal film on all portholes and hatches will keep cool in summer and privacy during the day .and keep warmer during colder weather. Also suggest hanging string baskets for fruit and veg .
'Really glad you bought this Scampi. You will have a lot of fun from it. A good Scampi is still better than a good Contessa 26. Your interior brightwork would come up well from renovation, but be careful not to skim off too much where there are thin decorative veneers. Ventilation and Flash liquid kills mildew. It's a great little boat. 'Never heard what its name is !
Looks lovely Terry👍 , a good tidy up and de cluttering it will seem twice as big , its interesting that despite how big a boat is on the outside doe's not always reflect the amount of room on the inside , you paid a good price there and at least it is a going concern with just a few things to do👍.
Looking good! Do some sailing as soon as you can and fix the boat jobs when you can't. There'll be enough "can't" days ahead ... Oh "petit robinet truc" was the "word" you were looking for!
Dehumidifier wall warm the boat and keep u free from condensation while u sleep there in winter am on south coast living aboard keeps me warm and dry and is cheaper to run than a heater ❤
Having standing headroom is awesome. Nice clean looking engine. What is the capacity of your fuel tank and water bladders? Turn the van into a camper van and have a second home on wheels.
Fun,and fast, I am in the Caribbean on my scampy30,1977, hull #437 shipman, I have no inboard engine, I removed it 2 years ago, it was in the vberth. the interior storage sucks on mine compared to yours😂.
@@mountainwest3444 no I haven't, and I don't miss it, the scampi can point very hight into the wind , and it's a little rocket downwind, on my last trip , I was doing 8 to 10 knots speed with genoa alone in 20knots winds, 4 meters waves.
@@svaty9205 The reason I asked is because, don't you need an engine to approach docks to tie up and also to steer the boat once you approach the marina?
You should 100% buy a stack of tinned food good for cheap snacks. I too realise how much you spend when youre in the habit of getting food from shops. Now days my snack food is tuna on rice crackers and some airfield vegetables, healthy and cheap. And you can calorie count if that's your thing. Way better than a pie from the shop lmao.
I was smiling in Ep.42 with your Tack/Clew/Leech terminology being proper Congrats on the new boat and doesnt it feel better having a Turn-Key vessel ? One thing I noticed and that that model is prown to is soft deck areas. I noticed under your line Clutches ( not really called Jammers as they are Open/Close lockable like a Clutch. Jammer Cleats are just stationary line jams with "teeth" in them. But UNDERNEATH those Clutches i'm gonna bet you 20quid there is water intrusion. Fix that by removing the Clutches and replacing the wood blocks underneat. I can see those base blocks look green/black and are likely Rotten or close to. You can inject some epoxy into the base holes and either reuse them or move the clutch an inch forward and drill new holes IF the deck is solid. If the deck isnt solid then consider bolts down thru the cabintop and a backing plate inside. I'll also bet the Housing and Perimeter Base of your Gauge Pod is going to be in the same state. You should likely check that out too. Other than that your looking Sharp my friend. Have a Very Merry Christmas and a Safe New Year !!! Cheers & Beers Brother ! Chris & Stella.
Dan would given you the boat for free! What a Great Guy !!! You want to give him 6,000 to be fair. What about splitting the difference. Agree on 3,000 and call it fair??
Good to see your spirits are back on track. You were right about the new boat. You stepped up from a Mercedes to a Bentley😂😂😂😂 jolly good show mate. RUclips doesn't show if you sold the other boat or a raffle ticket holder won it. Try not to whisper like bonehead bendin. Nobody likes his clown show🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 he's Fired😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂Iam in the USA on the west coast. I would like to see you catch a fish and cook it on your new stove with some chips from your air fryer 👍👍👍👍👍
@@ryansroberts Thanks. I don't want to cruise in the foreseeable future. A boat I'm going to look at has something already installed, so that will do me if I decide to buy it.

Yes that mean also the gimbled stove, use it, no fancy induction stuff, a millionaire used to own this boat, if its good enough its good enough.
good to hear the excitement in your voice...happy seas Terry..from vancouver island canada...
You have a good boat there Terry only do what you need otherwise you won't go sailing up north or Jersey France enjoy life 😊😊😊
Good to see your new home, I`m sure you`ll have great fun and be out sailing before too long. Fingers crossed for your interview Terry

You sound a lot happier mate .

i would use the pilot berth to sleep in then moving stuff around becomes less of a pain
What you don’t need? Let go. It’s your boaty.
No... not waffling.... BUMBLING !
Love ur channel..its so real and relevant. Were currently looking at old GRP boats....it takes some figuring..ur channel is really inspirational.
Other than the mess but it's all looking very servicable. Projects you can fund and still get out and sail. Excellent.
Can't wait for next week... Will the engine run? You've left us on tenterhooks, Terry.
Im not going to see it later when you show us, because I will close my eyes :p

Enjoying the videos, any chance you’re planning on selling that lamp? 😁

Looks a little like out of the fryer into the fire 😮
I don't feel that way 🤷
🙂
Thank you!
Re: saildrives - you said it as I thought it. Neither of us has used one though so . . . .
Quite a bit more spacious than my 29 footer, and mines at least as messy...

I'm hoping to move onto a boat shortly.
I'll have mains electricity in the yard.
How would you recommend that I get decent internet?
Phone tether if you are in the yard/ marina. 4G router with a decent antenna if you want to cruise, or starlink. I have an antenna for sale :)

what type of engine do you have in your scampi as i would like to move my engine from under the vbirth to under the cockpit
It went from a fairyman to penta, with a saildrive. It would have been a fair old change 👍
