Certainly having a higher view of the track is an unrealistic advantage in course visibility, but it’s not real. Not sure why anybody would not want it to be as real as possible. Please explain why realism isn’t important to you. I’m sincerely curious.

What’s with that view? Nothing sim about hood cam. When the video started with you in car, I thought “hallelujah an actual simracer”. But no.
If Nico Rubilar from the GT World tour uses hood view... I’m sure it doesn’t matter whether you think it’s “sim” or not. Hood view is fine.
