@@mesh8349 Yup. Two birds with one stone so to speak. Mardenborough's story in this movie basically an already written video game adaptation. It serves as a biopic (with some creative liberties) and also a video game adaptation.
Two birds one stone Gran Turismo never had a film about the game and this GT Academy did actually happened and Jann did everything in this film irl great film 💯🐐
Race Results of GT Academy 1st place: Jann Mardenborough (winner) 2nd place: Matty Davis 3rd place: Antonio Cruz 4th place: Leah Vega 5th place Joo-Hwan Lee
Interestingly, this was shot in Hungary on the Hungaroring. When the Orlando Bloom in the beginning rushed into the Nissan HQ, in the background there were 3 old nissan sport cars with a timeline picture. All 3 of those belonged to a collector guy I know. He has from Lada's, Delta Integrale's to Skyline's everything you can imagine.
They are all meant to be Nismo's, but one is a 2012 GT-R, Jann's car is a GT-R Premium and the other 3 are actually Nismo's which is weird. They also never came in manual and all were semi automatic gearboxes so idk why they are using a clutch. This was the only thing that really bugged me in the movie. Also using Hungaroring for most of the tracks.
Got to say I'm in a long time need for speed fan, I know I'm late to the party but I just recently started playing Gran Turismo last year because I've been an Xbox guy. And I will tell you, this movie has got to be the best as far as a racing video game movie let alone a car movie, this blows need for speed's 2014 movie out of the water.
At no point is there anything implying a manual transmission. They are paddle shifting and left foot braking. Every pedal shot shows getting off the brakes and stomping the gas.
enough money to bring different people to of the world to ride on a exensive track om expensive nissans under expensive training to be filmed with a 30fps camera to see the finishing line result more blurred than the cover of the album blur. haha sorry made me laugh a lot that part of the video. good movie though
Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?

1 because someone messed up the title its not a 1 v 1 if he's racing against 4 others
Solid 6

This is probably the first time in history that a movie is both a video game adaptation and a biopic.
It isnt a video game adaptation
@@mesh8349 it is. _Kind of._
Because the whole story in fact was created in a videogame.
@@HirokaAkita no it wasn’t, the story is about the fact that he went from playing the game to racing IRL

And if am not wrong, they were racing backwards...
@@Sebastian-uf3vryep u are correct its hungaroring but backwards
Edit:its the same for the le mans track its also in hungaroring
Yes it’s backwards I played F1 23 and instantly knew where I was had me feeling like Jann
Never really got into Gran Turismo when I was younger, but this movie definitely made me appreciate its impact
Same I use to play as a kid back then here and there but now..I’m patiently waiting for my ps5 with my racing wheel and seat with GT7
You may want to start by playing Gran Turismo 4, the best one so far.
I don't think anyone ever race Hungaroring in reverse
Unless Codemasters ever add this track to their next GRID game, they'll always have reversed counterpart for those racetracks.

This scene alone has me wanting to invest into a GTR 35 😍😍
The first time I watched this, it was on a Japan Airlines flight.

Love it when the Honest & Fairplay Guy Win It at Last! 😊🙏🌷🌿🌍💜🕊
Fun fact the gtr r35 is what inspired to make this movie!🔥🔥🔥
Jann was an amazing sim racer in the race.
Can't keep the car on the track in straights, very dangerous over takes. I'm surprised Jann never got picked up by Haas F1 team.
That’s GT Academy not F1

Without a doubt NFS ain’t even touching this film off the simple fact that Gran Turismo is based off real events
Sounds exactly like the GTR in game
1:17 Antonio: *scream* Damn it!
0:20 was perfection
4:12 you can see Silverstone in the background
Even without the camera I could see he won
I know damn well they not at Silverstone 😂
You are the winner

And Marty Davis became the second driver of Team Nismo as for 24 Hours of Le Mans.
R35 never have manual transmission 😂

So much you know 😅 at least read
He started at the back, too, but apparently that isn't a consideration

I noticed that the other gtr is the nismo edition and it has a more powerful engine i think and the other gtr are just regular gtrs

I didn't know that R35s had to clutch in with da pedal to switch gears 😂😂 what a shit movie

That looks just...ugh...so mediocre.
How?
Mediocre in what sense?
